I agree with you that the teenage myspace phenomenon is very amazing in much the same way as a meteor hurtling towards the earth is amazing. We are fucked if 95% of young adults consider it uncool to appear educated, and don't bother becoming educated because then they wouldn't "fit in" with all the other retards.
Mrs. Glick-Weil was indicted on charges of methamphetamine production which caused a fire that subsequently burned her entire house down. FBI agents have determined that all evidence of the lab was destroyed in the blaze. She was also ticketed for a broken tail lamp.
So I ask; how can the police enforce a law/requirement that they themselves do not respect?
Welcome to life in America. Obviously, there are some law enforcement agents that are quite conscientious about abiding by the laws they enforce, but they are in the minority. For example, a sheriff in a neighboring county got shit-faced and totaled his police cruiser. He wasn't even cited with anything. He admitted that he'd had a couple drinks, but he wasn't even administered any sobriety tests. WTF!
I can't even begin to recall the last time I've read anything in the news about Narwhals. I just registered on slashdot like 2 days ago, and pulled this nick outta my ass. Now Narwhals are all hip and stuff. Am I a trend setter or what?
