    "It's wasteful". But that is how economies work doing wasteful work. After all if you do not buy this year's latest model then there would be no jobs and every thing would stop. We are seeing that now in the auto industry. No one is buying this year models, the reason being irrelivent, and the economy is taking a big hit.

    But we, the goverment, did not give the industry any real money to increase the ifrastructure so they did not.

    Of course it affects us but I am sure giving industry enough money they can find a solution to the problem. Say like building a new city and moving everyone there. That should give a good kick to the ecomomy, building all those new houses and infrastructure.

    Global warming and such is not really a problem for the industrialized world. If any problems arise we will just build technological solutions to overcome them. After all there is more money to be made in fixing problems than preventing them. As for the rest of the world. Who cares, they do not vote in our elections and besides that they have to cross oceans to get to us.

    No your format does not have a speed. However the result of the algorithum that is used to impliment it will variy depending the manner in which it is coded. It could even be implimented in hardware making it very fast. Hoewver, the design specification document, your pervious post, just sits on the desk. It is a description, it does not move.

    XML cannot have a speed. XML is a format. It has no speed. The speed in which it is processed is entirly dependant on the software and algorithums used to process it.

    The problem is the 'West' does not want 'Democratic' govenments in these places it wants 'Sympathetic' and 'Manageable' govenments. For example Iran was a secular democracy but was not sympathetic to the west so it was overthrown.

    The United States and Great Britain have only themselves to blame for the current troubles with Iran. If they had left the democraticly elected govenment inplace instead of overthrowing it in the 1950s and puting a 'tin pot dictator' in charge we would not have this problem today.
