(Copy exactly, claim as your own)
You're VAIO example really wasn't very good though as that still has heavy grey overtones, and to be honest, although these links provide awesome cases and such I would still give credit to Apple for not making the consumer search out such stuff. I think these companies could make alot more money if they could get some capital for some TV or Magazine ads or something, they are really on to something.
I know at one time Intel was debuting new shapes for computers, but they looked more like modern art then computers.
You know, I think they main reason for this argument is just mixed signals, I wasn't speaking of Linux users, just average users, and the average user when asked which company gives more color choices would say apple. But I am man enough to admit I was wrong if you are :)

I am not asking that you admit it is a better computer, I am not asking you to admit that it is worth buying, I am not even asking that you admit that it deserves to exist, but for christs sake any 5 year old can see that it comes in more colors than a PC does! 256 shades of grey do not count as color options. Now the internet just turned 30 years old awhile back. And I can remember episodes of 3-2-1 Contact from the 80's that showed how you could do your banking with a computer and a device called a "modem" (hmmm imagine that.hehe) This guy didn't file till 1993, seems to me he could easily be proven to not be the first "inventor" of e-commerce and if I understand the law correctly if he is not the first, then the man who was is entitled to the patent.
I wouldn't think we could narrow it down to the actual first person, but I think it would be VERY easy to prove that 1993 wasn't the first time e-commerce was used, which should effectively nullify his patent, right?

How is it a stereotype to say "people that listen to Korn, spit in food, and don't know what computer programming is" I think that is a relatively specific statement and personally if you spit in my food, just because you are wearing a shirt that say "Linus Torvalds Rules!" doesn't mean I am not going to dunk your head in the french fry vat, but somehow I doubt very many people that use Linux spit in peoples food. No you are going to get big hard drive/big ram or small hard drive/small ram. That's what Apple provides. Apple however offers thier computers in some different colors which does offer more choice than in the PC industry. Just because our friends are people that share our interests doesn't mean we don't have friends.

And as far as this whole geek word stuff is concerned it is very annoying. You can't turn on ZDTV without some caller calling in and saying "Hey guys I figured out how the 'Start' menu on Windows 95 works, I'm a geek now! Hooray. duh-heee!" I find it odd that I could practically train a chimp to USE Win95, but not even MS technical support can tell us why it won't work. The problem is like my .sig says, Yeah, Linux is a bit harder to learn, but when you do learn it you KNOW it. If something goes wrong you have the fundamental knowledge required to diagnose it. The super ease of use that Windows provides IMHO is now necessarily a good thing because I for one believe that everyone should know how to fix there computer without having to spend $45 just to have technical support help them when the thing gets stuck in safe mode. (A real life incident that happened to a neighbor.) Aww well, I guess the less the users know and the more the company's tell them they are now "geeks" the more money the tech support people can make. I know a guy that works on our county machines which are NT and he could tell me exactly how to get into it through various holes. Or watch ZDTV once in a while. MS has been hacked something like 8 times in two months. Hotmail twice I know. All these computers were administered by MS. Look at all the complaints about hotmails lack of speed and security since the switch to NT. Security isn't the only aspect of a good Web Serving OS. You have to look at Stability, Speed, etc. In real life their won't be thousands of hackers going after the average site. There will however be thousands of users who expect good service. All Microsoft has ever done is silently "team" with a company, steal thier work and through lots of PR Men and Spin Doctor overtime pretend the company that actually did the work never existed. For example the SpyGlass/IE case mentioned earlier, or the SEGA/MS "team" now MS is coming out with a game system?! How much do you think they learned on thier own and how much did that get from stabbing SEGA in the back?
Anybody that thinks Microsoft is "innocent" in any way needs to take a look at the many illegal tricks they have pulled. Like when they "teamed" with that Electronic Postcard company (I can't think of the name now. I can find it if anyone wants it though) then the deal fell through and all of a sudden a "bug" in Outlook stopped the postcards from that company from arriving in peoples emails. Last time I checked bugs don't block emails from a certain email address.
