It got many forks on github for other countries, and it was first made by mysociety in the UK.
Currently that version is used in 8 countries.
correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Swedish submarine (electric) had a possibility to stay long-time dived, but also fooled with the US subs in an exercise. I think that's why the US rent it to play in the exercises.

This should really be a big discussion, at least with the Swedish laws and their point of view on freedom of speech.

where users from all over the world can vote for different people in different categories.
It would also be interesting to watch a list over the most mentioned people each year in wikinews..
