It is extremely vital for Microsoft to show that Vista is secure, especially in the enterprise. This is a great marketing move because it illustrates Microsoft's seriousness and commitment to security.
Microsoft.Net is where it's all at right now and not Ruby on Rails. For some reason sites like digg or Slashdot and many others focus more on PHP, ROR, Python,
etc.. and not on.Net, which is taking off like mad. So many projects lately seem to require C# for both web and desktop. I don't know how much of an impact this all has but I'm sure some, at least here in Boston I've seen.Net developers needed much more than java.
seems to be building itself on top of the M$oft platform. Most hardware vendors are going w/ media center pre-installed. What's different in this scenario is that the browser isn't going to be as centric as it is on the desktop pc. Apple seems to be heading in this direction as well with front row [http://www.apple.com/imac/frontrow.html%5D. I don't know but I think Google is going to need to pursuade hardware vendors to use their new GoogleOS instead of windows media center (ROFL) before being taken seriously in "interactive TV Land".

I worked for a well known dot com and one of the managers was a writer for tech books, he actually has a lot of textbooks written. Well, to make a long story short - I was simply amazed at how someone "non technical" could get away at writing technical books. I don't want to mention any names but he's written for the big 24hrs and 21days types of books. I worked as a web programmer at the time and couldn't believe the questions he would ask me about computers. He did a lot of cut and paste and asked a lot of questions before writing his books. I was simply amazed at how he got away with it.
Nice poem and it's very true except for the last part: "there is no other way. and there never was." Sure there is, it's called outsourcing.

WOW, They got deleted (404 Page Not Found) pretty fast, as if they were a virus. http://www.novell.com/company/bios/jmessman.html http://www.novell.com/company/bios/jtibbetts.html At least Microsoft has the courtesy to add the word "Former" next to their name instead of deleting them. Take Martin Taylor for example: http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/exec/martintayl or/default.mspx
This was the gayest thing ever.

I sure hope not.
