To dump the SAM hashes from a live system, you need debug priv (admin) and inject a dll or some code into a key windows process, if anything goes wrong and the process dies, windows BSoD's to protect itself
CIH only nuked the motherboard and destroyed your master boot record one day of the yeah (april?) so it still spread pretty good. Only works on Win9x, not NT so its pretty rare these days
I not only run steam games as non admin, I installed steam and the games (HL2 & CS:S) as non admin (after giving steam installer write access to HKLM\...\Uninstall\Steam) on XP (Did not install in ProgramFiles folder, but X:\Games or whatever)
You need BITS (background "stupid" transfer service) aswell, and they both have to be set to autostart for some reason(might be in case you have to reboot and then continue the update, I dunno). I made a batch file that I use for toggling the services ( http://pastebin.com/m65e04886 ) Run it as admin, no reboot needed
First off, how often do you edit file associations? And you don't HAVE to be admin, you can edit HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\classes by hand, it's just not exposed by the explorer gui (I understand it was removed/changed in vista)
Have you ever tried to connect to a xp machine with an admin account with a blank password? Guess what, it doesnt work unless you do a registry hack. No password is better than a weak password when it comes to network security.
The peds (and cows) in the first game just ended up as a pool of blood (or green stuff in UK version) when you hit them, in C2 body parts start flying. One time I was just driving along a straight and I hit a ped, I kept driving, then did a handbrake u-turn at the end of the straight and was about to go back where I came from and try to hit an opponent, and a leg comes flying from the guy I hit 10 seconds ago. Thats what I call fun for the whole family.
This thing does not install as non-admin, why does a web browser need admin rights? Extracting the files from the installer and tricking it to use local VC run time almost works (Gets rid of any dll errors on startup) but crashes at some point during startup. Apple makes shitty windows software, I'm not giving them full access to my machine!
What you see in the Temporary Internet Files folder is not the real file names, its a shell exstension, take a look in...\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\ for the real files
In Opera & FF you can use about:cache
It does not use IE, but the shell components that implement desk bands comes from IE 4 (Win95 does not have quicklaunch, install IE4 (This includes a new Explorer.exe/Shell) and you get the "win98 look")
If I remember correctly you don't need the cd(Unless you are installing the components for the first time ofcourse), just point it to the files in system32
I tried to switch in the past, but my pinky is just so used to pressing Shift and Ctrl, with ESDF I always miss the crouch button and end up hitting the fucking WIN button, had go go back to WASD in the end
The start menu button/taskbar is on the bottom by default because buggy apps assume 0x0 is the top/left of the screen (workarea), see http://blogs.msdn.com/b/oldnewthing/archive/2003/09/12/54896.aspx

3GB is max, not 2GB (You must turn this setting on, and only apps that have a flag set in their header will actually get it)
digging in the registry
wtf?
just do: ShellExecute(0,0,"http://urlgoeshere.com",0,0,SW_SHOW);

mininova is not a tracker, search only, don't know about the others

If you need to run some shitty ass Active X control that does not support DEP/NX
Sony has several models with mpeg4 support

Atleast with XP and later, an account with a blank password can not be used over the net.

Carmageddon 2 is still one of my favorite games, too bad Carmageddon 2000 sucked and the 4th one is canned

There is a policy setting for the hidden shares that admins can use or you can edit the registry http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB; en-us;Q288164 so there is no need for a batch file
I'm running uTorrent as LUA on XP right now, not using uPnp or XP firewall stuff tho
The exe and dlls are packed, so the real size is bigger
Just put the rundll32 command that restarts the computer, in the default users run key (Or a logout.exe type app)
