On the other hand, I was having problems with Amarok (the media player) and emailed their site, and within an hour I had 2 emails from both one of the developers and the guy who maintains the packages for my distro. Sometimes you get the snobs, but that shouldn't take away from the great projects like Amarok who jump to help those with problems.

You're forgetting one of the most important aspects of criminal behavior - ease. Don't be the easiest target. The other 2 conditions you mentioned are part of it, but it simple things like carrying your keys like they are brass knuckles, making a lot of noise, or just giving off an "aura" of "i'm not a victim". I'm serious, criminals don't want to get caught, so they are looking for the weakest victim, so they don't. If you look like you can run fast or have a big flashlight, they'll go elsewhere.

Yeah, I went all through this as a Multi-Media project here at RIT. Even after quoting sources like Vint Cerf, I have still caught hell.

George Bush hasn't defended anyone from anything. Anyone hear of the 9/11 commission? We're doomed! Compare Bush with Clinton? No comparison. Clinton presided over one of the longest periods of economic growth in history. BTW - "Intelligent Design" is NOT a theory. A theory is backed by scientific evidence. "Intelligent Design" a hypothesis. Just to stay on topic: The supreme Court shot this down, the reason it is being brought up is because once Alito is on the court Bush will be able to shove any damn thing he wants through.

There could be worse bugs. FFIV is great. I wonder why Square-Enix has so many problems porting games - FF Anthology... Wouldn't it be better though if the DS played original GB games. mmmm....complete backwards compatability....

The Nintendo Revolution will be a major threat to both Sony and Microsoft. Nintendo is busting out its smartest move yet, from nintendo.com:
Revolution will play all of your favorite Nintendo GameCube games, and deliver downloadable access to 20 years of fan-favorite titles originally released for Nintendo 64, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and even the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).
    The NES. Enough said.
