In the comments on the Techdirt article somebody is saying that Phorm are the latest incarnation of 121media which made the contextplus rootkit. A quick search later and indeed they are the same company.
not in greece. There's never been a hurricane, or a flood iirc, or a large forest fire. flooding and
forest fires in Greece.
No hurricanes but plenty of force 8 winds in the Aegean throughout the summer months (sorry can't find ref. but have been told about this by Greek friends)
Well if they make enough money through their database work with the Open Source Academy then you might.
Don't hold your breath though.
They may choose to make their website a bit better - but it is better than Cardiff's website which is dire to the extreme - capital of Wales and using front page?!? I resent every penny of my council tax spent on that dross! (Sorry had to get it out of my system:-)
If anybody cares to carefully read TFA, they will soon realise that it's basically a promo for a BBC2 program that just happens to air tonight! It's not a news story on any other major Britsh news source at the moment.
As a BBC licence fee payer I am getting heartily sick of this happening. I suspect it's mainly due to the humanities graduates that run the BBC having no clue about science, but they know what makes good publicity.
Personally, I'm almost at the point of burning my tv in front of the local BBC offices to prove a point...grrrrrrrrr!
Because we can all remember as kids hiding behind the sofa, scared shitless, when Dr. Who was on.
I used to regularly have nightmares about the various monsters when I was 6 or 7 (Tom Baker was the Dr.)
The new series is quite good, I thought Billie Piper was going to be bloody awful, but was then fairly pleasantly surprised. The Xmas edition where the transformation takes place is rather cheesey at times, and quite chilling at others.

Anybody got any more dirt on them?

...and buy white i-pods to help increase the planetary albedo.
Have a look under the contacts section of the site linked to in the story and you'll see the author's name.
Back to Cute Overload it is then...

I have seen BBC trailers that show K9!
And he (she? it?)better be on there or else I'm demanding my license fee back http://www.bbc.co.uk/info/licencefee/
Erm... why have I just seen an advert on the homepage of /. ?
Maybe it's because I don't pay.
Maybe it's because the main page is not the homepage, so what is the main page then?
