    DNA results take months to come back and there's usually a long waiting list to even get it into the lab. Its not like CSI where you find some blood and have a match in minutes.

    I've never heard of someone faking processors ever. It just seems completely insane.

    Its actually been a common scam since at least the days of the 486. What would happen is a processor will have its markings scrubbed and then get labeled as a faster processor. This doesn't just happen with CPU's either. http://www.cpushack.com/2010/01/14/counterfeit-ics-a-growing-problem/

    Right, and currently you need a SS card to work so your employer can pay their share of your SS.

    Actually you are not required to give your SS number to your employer, your tax id number works just fine (and is more secure) for tax purposes.

    Seriously, nothing good ever comes from talking to the police or giving them anything that they don't have a warrant or court order for. Police are also allowed to lie, however if you lie to them you're guilty of a crime.

    Lifelock is basically selling insurance that if your ID is stolen, they'll do the legwork up to $1 Million in filing paperwork and making calls on your behalf to get things back to normal.

    Lifelock is a scam, they charge you money to do what costs nothing. What is that you ask? All they do is put a fraud alert on your file at the three major credit agencies. You can do this yourself over the phone in 5 minutes. Once this is on file you are contacted anytime someone tries to open a new line of credit in your name.

    I assembled a PC for my mom a year ago, have the iPad been out I'd have gotten that instead with keyboard dock. All she does is email, browse the web and chat with Skype. All that is available on iPad and as a bonus, I wouldn't have to worry to constantly patch it, update it, secure it and whatnot. Her next upgrade is definitely an iPad or a similar locked down appliance.

    Have fun when she calls complaining that her flash games no longer work.
