How is the freedom to express one's ideas restricted in Germany? And by being free of religion I mean being able to say that I'm an atheist without being looked at askance, without religion dominating a large part of politics, etc.
I have lived in both countries. There is more freedom in Germany than in the US of A. Like drinking beer in public, having sex at 14, saying "shit" in public, being naked in public, not getting sued for everything and anything, being free of religion. That "Land of the free" BS is part of your indoctrination.
As opposed to US politics, there is a consensus in German politics. Namely that politics is for the benefit of the people and society. Business is a part of that society, not the other way around.
Yup. I refuse to read any article that starts with an obvious science fail. It can't be anything but a waste of time or, worse, misinformation. Not saying that the German solar program isn't a great story, but hard economic numbers are almost impossible to find.
1. Set up a honeypot with a web front that calls for the recall of a politician you don't like 2. Wait for it to be attacked by that politician 3. Tell the FBI 4. Lulz!
Modern CPUs are too complex to learn Assembly on them. I learned on an IMS6100, basically a single chip PDP-8. It had a RISC-y instruction set that you knew by heart within a week. Same thing a little later with the 6502. Even the 8086/8088 was tolerable. It started to get hairy with the 386. It's like C++: TIMTOWTDI and everybody uses a subset. I'd start learning on an emulated old 8-bitter, maybe a C64 emulator.
Until Europe, India and China overtake the US.
But being a lawyer makes more money and you get to decide who you screw.
Where I live now (in California), it even illegal for two 17 year olds to have sex. Yes it's only a misdemeanor but it's still illegal.
So that leads you to the conclusion that Germans have fewer liberties than Americans? Thank you.

Yes!
No, they mean gigawatt hours per hour.
So multiplication is the same as division?
Fail.

As though the primary purpose for men should be to provide money and genetic material for children.
Duh? What else are men for in evolutionary terms?
Yup. If the answer was Yes, the title would be "X!!!" not "X?"
So you assume that everybody in psychology has major issues with every major theory in psychology?

Should've googled for "how to become an evil uber hacker".
So that's why there was a Chrome update last night? That was quick.
'This TFT display is big (2.8" diagonal)'
At least they don't say "cheap" or "low cost"at 70 bucks.
The SpaceX people mentioned in the TV show before the aborted launch that they're looking into more launch facilities, especially in South Texas.
So where's the American Pirate Party?
OK I clicked on the link below (it said "Reply to This".)
Now what? Where is my cash reward?
There's an eclipse tonight? It's the first I hear about it!
Oh that sounds good. I'm waiting for a Pi...

So how much would MS charge for installing Linux? $199? Inquiring minds want to know.
