Actually, I forgot that this happens even when the speakers are turned off. It's been awhile since I had a cellphone that did this. On the other hand, my current cellphone causes my alarm clock to make a very very faint high pitched beeping sound when it's plugged in to charge (I can sometimes hear it when it's totally quiet at night and my head is near the clock).
My 10 gallon fishtank has about 500 goldfish in it right now. There's still room left for a few hundred more. I don't understand why people think the tank is overpopulated.
I think it'd be great if the next SW videogame contained a fat kid jumping around with a lightsaber somewhere off to the side. I dunno if doing so would be enough for LucasArts/whatever game maker to be sued by him, but it'd be pretty damn hilarious.

You're gonna hafta wait until this Fall/Winter for Intel to release their Conroe processors.
Considering that when many people say that they need a Windows machine to do "work" on, they actually mean they need it for playing games, I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see more people make the switch. Admittedly, as the summary states, this would be the lower to middle end gamers. The high end gamers will still spend 500 bucks every 6 months on the newest graphics card, all the while bitching about how expensive Macs are...
Nope, they were the real thing. I picked one up to check it out. It was a pretty hefty box. After I got home, I checked eBay to see if a small profit could still be made. It seems that 360s are now going for about 400-450 + 30ish bucks shipping. Basically, if I were to buy one and eBay it, I'd break even with cost + tax + shipping. I might make 5-10 bucks. Certainly not worth the trouble.
Admittedly, I've only ever played one Lionhead game, but that experience and what I've read of their other games was enough to keep me away from them. I bought into B&W because it was supposed to be an amazing sim/strategy game. It royally sucked. And from I've heard about the hype surrounding B&W2 and Fable and what they actually delivered, things haven't changed. Then again, MS really only seems interested in selling hype and not delivering a product that meets that hype, so maybe it's a perfect match.
The Best Buy near me had about 100 premium versions sitting in a nice stack in the middle of the aisle the other day. Funny thing was that it was about 3PM Sunday, and it didn't look like a single one had been moved, unless they happened to sell exactly a layer or two from the 4x4 arrangement. I'm kind of doubting that, though, since nobody even seemed to notice them the entire time I was there.
Of course there's no mention of file format. Since the audio players out there generally play some combination of MP3, AAC, and WMA, it's only reasonable to assume that the store will sell in one of those formats. Since we know it will need DRM to make the labels happy, that pretty much narrows it down to PlaysForSure WMA. If that's the case, there're already plenty of competitors out there. What will make this store different from Rhapsody, Yahoo, Napsters, etc?
While I understand the need and want for better security, I think you're post also states exactly why WEP is "good enough": Drive down your neighborhood sometime. Its pretty easy to pick up a few networks. I guarantee that at least one of those will be open. And this is where someone passing through the neighborhood will connect. They won't bother trying to crack your encryption if there's an open network a few doors down.
Don't get me wrong, I intend to either sell or give the regular one to a friend once I can get my hands on a DS Lite. I'm just getting tired of having no idea when it'll even come out. Of course, now that I've ordered one, they'll make the announcement in a few days and say it's coming out at the beginning of May like people are speculating.
Not sure, but based on the anticipation, I'm expecting there to be shortages of it for the first month or two anyways. I finally succumbed and ordered a regular DS from ToysRUs over the weekend. Good deal, got a free copy of Advance Wars with the order. The free game offer ended April 1, which is why I gave in and jumped on it. On an unrelated note, newegg has Metroid pinball for 18 bucks. To anyone out there who has it, would you recommend it?
You act as if CowboyNeal had nothing to do with posting such a piece of crap article.
...i started thinking it was LESS likely Sony would sell to MS, than more.
I believe you meant to write "then more."

Or alternately, turn off your speakers.

"For those thinking their "pet" computer is invulnerable to the virus threat -- it's not," SANS said.
Dammit! And I thought using 70s technology would keep me safe from all these modern-day viruses.

How long until the solution to all of the problems is "Reboot the computer"?
Ugh...your, not you're.

It's just the trees out there which don't look tree-like at all.
Either that or they're just not very happy.
If there's one thing I can't stand, it's forced upgrades. I'll stick with my Web 1.1.19 (experimental), thank you very much.
No, but playing with my imaginary kitten did wonders when I was sick.
