And yet in that same Wikipedia article, Colbert himself said in an interview, "Truthiness is 'What I say is right, and [nothing] anyone else says could possibly be true.' It's not only that I feel it to be true, but that I feel it to be true. There's not only an emotional quality, but there's a selfish quality." What the actual truth is is totally irrelevant. In this case, the state-run media is saying "This is what happened" and that's the end of the story. This is as close to truthiness as you can get.
The very definition of 'truthiness' is "this is the truth because I say it is" (see Colbert Report, S01E01). That is exactly what is going on here, and of which you say there is a lack of. 'Truthiness' is not synonymous with 'truthfulness'--it is the antithesis of it.
Wow! Way to miss the point of the post. He was asking the question precisely because Russinovich now works for MS--he knows damn well there will never be such an article.
Seriously, I propose a new rule: Calling something "Foo 2.0", where "Foo" is not a piece of software, is an automatic punch in the face. (doesn't have to be hard even, just to make a point)
My phone has a display that goes into "sleep" mode after about 15 seconds. As far as anyone is concerned, the phone looks like it's off. In order to actually turn the phone off, I have to hold the power button for 5 seconds. Every single cell phone I've ever used behaves like this. From the sounds of things, the iPhone has similar behavior.
Have you actually used Notes? While it does the job, this is one instance where I actually have to say that the Microsoft alternative--though far from perfect--is considerably better.
It gets even better than that. Ever tried using Notes on a Mac? Version 6 was the retarded little brother of the Notes family. Thankfully with version 7 they've managed to put him into a nice suit, but he still acts funny and drools all over himself...
Highest levels of the underground? That means they're just below the surface, right? And they've been planning their takeover for almost two years? They don't sound all that motivated to me...
While I agree that you got the majority of the information correct, I did want to point out a few things. First, there is a whole lot of research out there that is not funded by government grants. However, the actual percentages entirely depend on the field where the research is being done. Also, a number of journals do give the EIC and Associate Editors (basically, the senior research staff associated with the journal) an honorarium in lieu of a salary. Again, the amounts totally depend upon the agreement. At the journal I previously worked for, the EIC's honorarium was about $40K/year. Then again, we were a small research nonprofit publication that funneled any income back into our business via various means, so we weren't anywhere in the same ballpark as Elsevier or Wiley. Just thought I'd mention these few things...
It's amazing that that some people can't seem to understand a joke made from a phrase from the fucking article summary. Actually, it's not amazing at all. It's just downright sad...
You've been able to disable the "auto organize" feature since either version 2 or 3. At this point I believe it comes with it off by default, or it asks you at install time or something.
She doesn't just have M$, she's suffering from it. And that's something that I think most of us can relate to. ; )
I have a sixth sense--the ability to detect unlinked URLs in summaries. Too bad ScuttleMonkey doesn't seem to have this one...

There's a lack of truthiness here.
No, there is an overabundance of truthiness here. What's lacking is truthfulness.

So yes it looks similar on Google maps, but it looks completely different on Google Earth.
Try Bucky Fuller's Dymaxion map for an interesting view of the world...
Does the "left" in "Copyleft" have any meaning other than anti-copyright?
Dunno, but whoever invented the term was being very sinister...

Man, Jon Blake Cusack 2.0 isn't gonna go for that one... : p
Seriously, is suing google the newest business model in the US?
Did Australia become part of the US when Bush was down there last week?

Are you kidding? This is 100% USER ERROR. The guy put the thing into sleep mode instead of actually turning it OFF.
Wow, a knowledgeable and informative post. Too bad it's the only one so far...

Pot, kettle, etc.
Boiling water? Tea? Why yes, I would love a spot of tea.

Seeing as how there are two mailboxes in that picture, isn't it just as likely that his next-door neighbor has FiOS instead?
Ahhh, but you're assuming that the spirit of the deceased doesn't know who killed them...
Hey now, don't knock phrenology! I like the thought of being able to alter key characteristics of my being simply by bashing my head against things.
Well, if our Precedent can beat a lie detector, then I don't think they should be allowed in courts...
for example, how do you burn a playlist to CD as MP3 files?
Preferences > Advanced > Burning > Disc Format: MP3 CD Tough stuff...
