Reality is, they're probably still making a profit on the phones after locking you into those contracts, because they're paying nowhere NEAR the MSRP on them.
I ended up getting 25 bucks back after rebate on my current phone, so I know that T-Mobile didn't make any money off the sale of the phone. Service on the other hand...
you need to call the international support line and request help acting dumb.
Me: Hello. Int'l support? Hi, could you help me to act dumb?
Int'l Support: I'm sorry sir, but you're already an AT&T customer. You've already shown that you can act dumb all by yourself.
What's even more fun is connecting two Macs together using firewire, setting the first one to boot into target disk mode, and then having the other one boot off the first machine's hard disk. Great way to diagnose disk problems without ever opening a case.
If you have a Mac, there's an officially-sanctioned update available here. It's nicely done and even includes options to change elements of gameplay if you want (move diagonally, automatic battles, etc). In my mind, this is exactly what these updates should be--updated to be played on newer machines/OS's, with enhanced graphics and gameplay options if you want them (but you can still turn them off to get the original experience if you choose to).
This whole study compares how the four AI bots did against the game's built-in AI. I'd like to know how the four "personality" types did against each other, as well. Even then, the whole study is limited to the gameplay mechanics of this one game. That's not to say that the information isn't useful--just that it's pretty limited at this point.
I think it might have been the word 'answerphone' that threw Zonk off. I can't seem to find any mentions of 'rogering the loo' or 'fanny full of spotted dick' or anything else that could easily have confused him...
Unless I'm mistaken, this will mean the true end to resource forks on the MacOS. For those of you who aren't familiar with them, resource forks were a part of a file under the Classic MacOS (OS 9 and before) that contained icon information, filetype and creator codes, etc. This part of the file was only supported under the HFS and HFS+ filesystems, meaning the resource fork would get lost if you copied a file to a non-HFS/HFS+ filesystem (this is why files copied to FAT filesystems in the old days often wouldn't reopen on a Mac. It also explains the "Mac OS X" folder with underscored-dot files from archives created with OS X's built-in zip utility). With OS X, Apple rolled the resource fork into the "data fork" portion of the file, meaning the information was still there for legacy purposes. However, this is only supported under apps that know where to find the information. This change has the potential to cause some headaches for shops that have legacy files spanning several decades. OTOH, I'll be glad to see it finally go...
I now only use GIMP when I don't have access to my home machine, where the one licensed copy I have is installed.
Check the license. Adobe generally allows you to install their apps on a second machine (ie, work/home machines, main workstation/laptop) so long as you don't run them both at the same time.
You aren't able to copy downloadable games to an SD card on the Wii? It seems like they'd tie it to the consoles serial number of something in order to prevent people from downloading games and shuttling them around between Wiis.
I think it would be nice if the chip makers could agree on some kind of general performance benchmark number that could be used in names to make processors more easily comparable.
If you want the voiceover then get the 5 disc set. It will contain all the released cuts of the movie, plus some extras.

I played Grim Fandango a few years on XP. After enabling anti-aliasing in the nvidia control panel, it actually looked pretty decent.
How about Duke Nukem? :P
Pffft. That'd take them forever...
and what about Ult3?

Who said total nerds weren't funny? It's a wonder with comedy like this more pocket protector types don't get laid.
Well, according to the name of the program, at least one does...

I hope they loose a sale. I'm always on the hunt for a good deal...
Yeah, it's a real shame that Jad Fair's been making music for a hell of a long time...
That has more to do with Windows than anything. None of the Adobe apps (or Quark for that matter) on a Mac have that annoying "feature".

No no no. It means "We don't speak." It was obviously said by a group of mutes.
Is this proof that Carnegie Mellon (and the BBC) support religious terrorism?
A future acquisition of whom?
The front page of that august publication features the grimacing face of Arthas...
File this under "old news." We're already in October, Zonk. Sheesh... : p
28.8.. such luxury. While in my day we made due with 9600. No fancy smancy k at the end.
Pffft. I remember back when it was referred to as 'baud' and the numbers were measured in triple, or if you were really lucky, quadruple, digits.

You mean like BogoMIPS?
You missed "Core Dump".
That's the one for watching German porn, right?
And naturally you scrapped any materials that had any registration problems, right? : p
Which G4s don't have firewire? They started including firewire on the first model blue and white G3 towers in 97 or so.
