Well, before you go basing your opinions on just one argument, you might check out this article in the CANADIAN National Post yesterday:

Which tells us that the sea ice that we so loudly mourned the loss of is BACK! So what are they suing about? The point I'm trying to make is that you can't take a warming trend over a ten year period and use mere correlation to prove that CO2 is going to send us into a global melt-down and that the oil and power companies are responsible. The climate is much more complicated than that, and I think the effect of solar output is pretty obvious. This is just a move to vie for a piece of the media attention pie. Mmmmm... pie.
Are the fish really "counting" to four? I think this is misleading. Just because they can recognize that 4 things is more than 3 things does not mean they are counting them; counting would imply a concerted, intelligent effort on the part of the fish.
Blue is my favorite flavor of paint chips. Need to score me some of these drugs.
Seriously though, I think this is ridiculous. I mean, sure, a little paint is probably not going to hurt anyone, but if paint chips are mixing in with the drugs, you have to wonder what else might fall in there (i.e. rodent droppings, etc.). It amazes me that the FDA is tolerant of operations that just leave bins full of drugs open out on the manufacturing floor.
I like that when an environmental organization funds climate change research it is called "funding", but when an oil company funds research the media refers to it as "bribery". Say what you like about how non-partisan you think the media is, I think that the agenda is pretty apparent.
If these explosions are as bright as a 7th magnitude star (6th magnitude can be seen with the naked eye with good vision), you wouldn't need a 14in telescope to view them. Probably something like a 6 inch scope would do for the brighter incidences (although not the 9th magnitude).
