As an aside, this should be the similar across the European Union as Commission Regulation (EU) No 1141/2011 states:
[...] by providing passengers with the possibility to undergo alternative screening methods, this Regulation, together with the specific implementing rules adopted pursuant to Article 4(3) of Regulation (EC) No 300/2008, respects fundamental rights and observes the principles recognised in particular by the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, including respect for human dignity and for private and family life, the right to the protection of personal data, the rights of the child, the right to freedom of religion and the prohibition of discrimination. This Regulation must be applied according to these rights and principles.
and
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
You can opt-out and get an (enhanced) hand search. If you decline, you are escorted landside and can't fly.
(If the officers actually comply with the regulations is a different question.)
From the "Security Scanners Direction 2015", Annex C, Part 14:
An individual who has been selected to be screened by security scanner
may opt out of being scanned but only if the individual being screened agrees to be
searched by an alternative screening method, including at least an enhanced hand
search in private. That search may require the loosening or removal of clothing.
Totipotent stem cells can differentiate into any other cell type.
Polypotent (I guess you refer to pluripotent) are a later type of cells.
The point is, totipotent stem cells are as good (or better) than pluripotent cells.
But I agree, that it should never be an excuse for abortion.
There should be no benefit (be it monetary or whatever) for donating stem cells.

Not like, you know, because it is the right thing to do.
On the other hand, when something completes without problems, on GNU/Linux you often are given no messages stating as such.
Guess what they assume their programs do.
They assume that they complete successfully.
While on Windows, it seems to be a huge surprise to the program.
"Uuuh, it worked. Hmm, doesn't happen often, better get someone's attention..."

So where do I get this 1-digit UID?
Some cities decided to shorten the yellow phase to have more violators and therefore more profit from those cameras. It's just too tempting. See reports here http://www.motorists.org/blog/6-cities-that-were-caught-shortening-yellow-light-times-for-profit/ and here http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/06/03/trolling-for-trouble-in-the-red-light-district/
Actually, this either never was or isn't anymore a Microsoft patent. It's now assigned to Kawneer Company, Georgia. See page 15 here: http://www.google.com/patents?id=14gCAAAAEBAJ&printsec=drawing&zoom=4&dq=Butt+hinge+with+integrally+formed+butt+straps#PPA15,M1
