No, Digg is also accused of banning certain blog sites. That's not "deleting an entire article and comments" - that's banning article submissions based on certain criteria they deem to be unworthy - just like S1ashdot does.
NOOOOOO! Say it isn't so. What I find ironic is that Slashdot posted this article, saying that "Digg got busted editing their story submissions".. which is exactly what Slashdot does. I think this underscores just how cool Digg is - Digg has suddenly made article approving and filtering a shameless act! A couple of months ago, people would look at you like you were an idiot if you said that. So in a wierd way... VIVA LA DIGG! Adios, Slashdot.
Simple - the religious establishment doesn't NEED an explanation. Followers will simply shift to "faith" to fill in the gaps. If that doesn't work, the most remedial explanation will suffice to keep believers in line. Here's a few that would probably work:
"God never said that He didn't create OTHER planets in addition to the Earth."
"The Bible was not 'literal' when it talked about Earth being the center of the universe."
"God made other Earths after He made this one. Our Earth was the first."
"Now, there's an easy way to make text bold on a webpage. Just enclose it with ! It's also backwards-compatible, showing normal text on browsers (such as Lynx) that don't support bold text."
Why is this a Slashdot article? Hasn't anyone heard of webfx.eae.net?
they're simply praising the film as truth (which is what I said in my last post) despite that Moore has admitted that it is not all true.
So many lies, so little time....
No liberals are praising the film as truth. Michael Moore has not said "it is not all true." He said that his film is definitely one-sided, and described it as an "op-ed".
Also, when Moore says the film is a documentary and it is not, and when he makes it
He has repeatedly said all over the f*cking internet that this is NOT a documentary, but an OP-ED piece. But you'll probably keep on spinning that mantra even after reading this clarification.

I've tossed around the idea of doing this many times throughout the past couple of years, but more so now that spam is at a point of ridiculous proportions.
How about any new incoming mail being held by a watchdog first without appearing in your inbox, which sends a reply to the sender with a message like:
"This is the first time you've sent me email. If you wish for your email to be seen, then reply with the word PLEASE in the subject line."
From then on, the watch dog would allow emails from that sender to pass through. Otherwise, the spam emails are never seen.
I suppose that there may be some spammers that do reply, but it's a manual act, especially since you could set your own pass subject ("PLEASE"), or even have it change to a random word each time.
I bet this would cut down on spam significantly.
What do you all think?

Yeah, he's right. There is no such thing as airborn viruses....not
This is the comment of an entrenched and threatened scientist.
He is referring to the emergence of life, not the continued existence of life. In Biology I, we learn that life needs a medium in which to form from simple amino acids. What other medium would you suggest?
Plus keep in mind that A) you will need a high speed connection if you want to upload your photos to an online printer. My father realized that after buying a 3MP and trying to upload a roll of 30 via a 56k line which as we all know only does 33.6 up.
Just downsample to 2.1MP, then your dad can upload them at the same speed as all those 2.1 users. Plus he gets the added bonus of having the same downgraded quality as the 2.1 users.

Have you actually taken the time to install Songbird? What a joke.
Almost all flying insects go through this "caterpillar" larvae stage - flies, mosquitoes, you name it. It is not that mysterious.

The planet is not 5 times bigger than Jupiter, it has 5 times as much mass as Jupiter. Its diameter is only 1.5 times larger than Jupiter's.

This guy's using Slashdot to DOS a rival 733t tribe member's PC. It's easy. Make up a title intriguing to geeks and post it anonymously on Slashdot.
