about porn. this goes back a decade almost now. Why, there are many bigger problems on the internet, like dealing with the real criminals that hide behind a company and infect users with spyware and garbage. How about the spammers, they are criminals using botnets commiting fraud. That would make people happy to have them arrested, but no the govt has always been concerned about naked people. How about a law that says, "No one under 18 is allowed onthe internet." there no more problems with children getting porn online. that would be excellent.

That was the problem the democrats faced in 2004, the "anyone but Bush" scenario... The problem is that you cant build a platform of support without actual support for the guy running. Many people actually supported Bush in that election and WANTED him to be elected. On the flip side, I didnt know too many people that wanted Kerry elected, rather just not Bush. The Southpark episode did sum things up nicely.

That is easy to define: unsolicited bulk email...(this includes political spam too) How much is bulk. well I doubt any normal user is sending out 50 messages a second to friends that may not be expecting an email (technically unsolicited) If it is a legit mailing list, it isnt unsolicited. If you are emailing a friend from college, it isnt bulk. I wish more ISPs would filter port 25 outgoing (with a reasonable way to get unblocked for those 2 users that need it) and rate limit the mail. That would stop the zombie problem dead. But for some reason ISPs refuse to do those things (and no it wont cause problems for 99% of the users on the planet) a few customers might have problems, however exceptions can be made easily enough, a ISPs are doing that already.
