So basically I have to pay the same price as a DVD for less features AND I have to do the work... interesting...
now will it be true P2P (ie will I be helping to spread the file, which probably wouldnt work because of DRM)
basically, they are going to overcharge people for a DRM packed file that isnt as useful as a standard DVD then be shocked when it doesnt work... thats my prediction.

Fibre Channel Storage?

Yes, but 2/3 of the speed for like a 1/10th of the cost is still way better for non true enterprise systems
and 30KRPM SCSI drives, i doubt that
I didnt bother posting on the message boards or file a bug report because there are already a couple of dozen reports and threads all without solution..
so no it's not FUD, and it wasnt a complaint, it was a question whether anyone is aware of improvements to that architecture....
on a side note, just how much did you smoke this morning to come up with what you did from what i wrote... cause it must be a LOT!.
Has there been any work on EHCI USB controllers, in combo with Mass Storage Devices...
Last time I tried NetBSD it was a sad state in that aspect (the rest of the system completely rocked though)
Basically, iPod Minis wont work if you have that combination (atleast USB2 that is)
I was kind of shocked when I was trying to get support and the answer was "Buy a firewire card" right...cause thats not exactly a suitable solution considering how popular EHCI / Mass storage is.
Id love to check it out again, is there any recent livecds available?
Basically the problem is:
If they have enough evidence to get a wiretap that protects people. It isnt like it is difficult to get a wiretap warrant, but you must have atleast SOME credible backing to why you think you should collect more evidence.
I would like to ask the powers that be, how useful has this been, show me a case where this was used and proved effective even at a small level.
Probably a lot of cases were sooo weak that they couldn't even get a warrant which means they have no right to do it.
Pre 9/11 they had enough evidence against the various players to get warrants, so wiretapping ability is not the issue, laziness and priorities were. Now those targets are priority, same amount of evidence and probable cause exist to get the wiretaps, there is absolutely no reason to not be able to get a warrant if there is a credible reason
Yes but SUV's dont exactly do well in most real life accidents...
and in fact, for children, an SUV is far more dangerous than a regular car.
(SUV's have a high roll over problem resulting in children being flung out the window)
Chrysler ? american car? Actually it is more likely a Canadian car. However, my previous Toyota and current Mazda are both American cars.
I just slept for 17 hours this weekend and still didnt want to get out of bed

Money with blood on it?
WOW! im simple in disbelief right now.
I honestly wish my body could handle the sheer quantity of narcotics required to actually believe that.
Excellent, thanks for the update I knew it didnt work around 2.0 but hadnt been able to find out specifically for newer versions.
Why would I back a company that is trying to screw a the European Nations out of compliance with the law, like it did here in the States...
Sorry, but they saw what happened here and are trying to put a leash on MS.
Good for them
Yeah OHCI, now that is a brilliant solution...

Thats a little pedantic since he OBVIOUSLY meant linux systems (AKA the majority of distros + kernel in combination)

something tells me you are a fool....
this program is targeted for poverty stricken children but children that are above the point of survival..
not everything is about the absolute worst off, some programs are *GASP* desigend to help other people too.
basically those children you mentioned have nothing to do with this article or the focus of this device.
the children that will greatly benefit are already going to some form of school (which will hopefully be made quite a bit better with some technology)
different programs have different targets, this program is not targeting the child prostitutes and orphans of the world.
