    but in all seriousness, evolution is real, its happening now as i type this. some animals will die off, others will take their place. thats how the world has worked for millions of years. Last i checked there were velociraptors in the past, but not now. so why should a simple field mouse that is blocking progress get special treatment?

    What does need to happen is that subsidies for the Oil/Gas industry need to be eliminated and they need to play by the same rules as any other company

    they do, all companies can write off investments. Or do you think we are actually paying these companies money rather than simply letting them keep more of the money they made?

    i think you are missing the point I was trying to make which was to simply leave the area that is expensive and move to somewhere that is affordable. 20 grand in NYC or san fran is "homeless" but in other states it is enough to live comfortably.

    costs will eventually even out if people stop trying to live above their means. When no one who lives there is willing to work at starbucks because it doesnt pay enough, they will either start paying better or the cost of living will fall to normal levels.

    if the homeless population hadn't doubled in the past 15 years, we'd have already housed every last homeless person in the city.

    Is it not possible that San Frans take care of the homeless problem is what caused the homeless population to double? Make it known that you will give free stuff to homeless, they will continue to go there. Make it known that homeless people will have to look for a job to get help, and they will leave for somewhere that doesnt. (not all of them of course, but enough of them to make it a problem)

    romney only worked in one state, as per the 10th amendment. Obamacare on the other hand, was forced on us by 1 party.

    if those homeless moved to somewhere that didnt cost 5 grand a month to live in a 500 foot 1 room studio, they might be able to actually live. I have no pity for people who force themselves into these issues.

    it fails. Why do we keep throwing tech at a non tech problem just for the sake of throwing tech at it? Cali is in the process of taking back all the tablets they passed out after major issues. Sometimes real paper books are the answer.

    yes it does. "metro" is dead in 10, metro apps are now in the start menu (think windows 7 menu) you have the standard XP classic startmenu, and attached to that similar to 7 your metro tiles live.

    Metro apps open on the desktop and are resizable unlike in 8/ 8,1 where you have to be in metro like it were an app itself. To top it off, it is fast, much faster than 7 or 8 (SSD 8 gig of ram phenom 2 setup)

    While I find download.com to be very useful, it has been that way for as long as i can remember. Mcaffe or some other bundled crap that no one asked for. wanting to auto run on startup, and damn hard to get rid of once its there. It got so bad at my house i actually blocked downloads from them for the rest of my family because I was sick and tired of fixing their machines everytime they needed a new video player to try and grab youtube videos in the case of my younger brother, etc.

    the full screen apps are simply windows on the desktop now, resize and you are fine. its not like in 8 where desktop and metro are 2 different states
