when I was in 8th grade i had a smaller than kid hand sized, see thru blue water pistol in the last few weeks of school. the principal brought me in, and the cops were there. I wasnt arrested but i was yelled at by both the cops and principal, because "someone might mistake it for a real gun"
my mom and dad are just laughing at them like are you kidding me?? I ended up getting suspended for a day, my dad took me to the shooting range to show me what a real gun was (and made sure the principal and cops knew, and knew i wasnt in any trouble)
agreed on the rounding error, but I still believe that something like this could work, as i said i was only using bank transactions, not all transactions
all the more reason to end the stupid tax code that we have. I had a theory I put together the other day, im sure im not the first but hear me out
What if we had a 1 penny tax on transactions, any transaction. For example there are 300 million bank transactions in the country a day. thats 30 million in taxes per day, JUST on bank transactions.
add in all the rest, fast food, shopping plazas, and wallstreet with micro/nano transactions
i need to do some more of the math, but if we add up 1 penny to all transactions (regardless of costs/ or items) everyone will be paying their fair share, no more loopholes, and things would be good.
on the other hand, there are only so many possible scenarios no? to simplify it a LOT theres, keep going, speed up, slow down, turn left, turn right, stop. There are variations of all these scenarios but that is all that there could be. simulations could account for quite a bit in that regard.
well, thats something for the advertisers to worry about, being that I guess they would be the "customers" being spoken about, I can see how it might fit better.
perhaps this would be better worded if instead of customers they used consumers.
agreed, Lets stop trying to lump twitter changing their web page, and facebook experiments at the same level of comcast harassing customers. there is a major difference between the 3
no one pays to use FB or twitter, as such if they change their page for whatever reason, so what? if you dont like it go to myspace or whatever else is around or make a new site
comcast harassing callers, and the new info dropped about their 20% upselling grade for techs is a legit concern when it comes to customer dissatisfaction. I think you are watering down the severity of comcast when you lump in twitter and FB making changes to their pages
is that really sensible however? no matter how messed up racism is, is outlawing it the right way to handle it? We can see how outlawing drugs, and outlawing napster worked so well at keeping people off drugs and no one downloads illegally shared songs anymore right?
but dont forget both geo and nuke are bad for the fish. indian point is facing some wrath now from the environmentalists for the water intake sucking in fish
this is even worse on political forums, if you dont parrot the forums groupthink, be it right leaning or left leaning you are assaulted by the majority and you end up getting labeled troll, even if your responses are level headed and you are the one being attacked.
thats true i guess, the first time it happened to me i was on the highway and i was just like hmm, thats odd, kicked the car into neutral turned the key, kicked the car back to drive and continued on my way. But then again, the avg american is not brought up around cars (my father owned car dealerships growing up) and most americans dont know how to drive in perfect conditions let alone when something out of the ordinary happens
the truth is the issue is no wheres near as big of an issue as its being talked about. I had a GM with an ignition problem. all it meant was the key could come out when the car was running, even if it powered off if its not as if the brakes engage, you simply hit the brakes and come to a stop, or throw it in neutral and start the car back up, not a big deal. the airbag recalls im more concerned with than this
im not sure we are looking at the same car companies. the biggest gainers over the past 6 years would be the koreans with hundei and kia, and the domestics are making cars that are just as good if not better than the imports these days.
obviously i was referring to the point that i DONT have to do business with them if i dont like what they are doing. Cant get away with that when its the government

really? because i would like to believe the more money you have, the more transactions you are making, therefore being taxed more....
if you are paying monthy, it would be 12 cents, yearly, only a penny
i said transactions, using a gift card is still a transaction
all the more reason to end the stupid tax code that we have. I had a theory I put together the other day, im sure im not the first but hear me out

no no, they were saying boo-urns, boo-urns

can i mod this +1 obvious?

dont even worry about the blackjack on second thought

i like turtles
there have been a few, ive noticed it more and more over the past year or so
but dont forget both geo and nuke are bad for the fish. indian point is facing some wrath now from the environmentalists for the water intake sucking in fish

so eventhough obama did EXACTLY what the republicans asked for to avoid the shutdown...in your eyes the shutdown is still the republicans fault....
this right here, is just one of the many problems with this country these days
obviously i was referring to the point that i DONT have to do business with them if i dont like what they are doing. Cant get away with that when its the government
i think you need to look at fergison MO, i dont think its republicans out there on the streets rioting....
so what you are saying, if i understand correctly is fuck the reality of things, we need to keep up the political theater to screw the people
that makes the dems look EVEN worse in my mind when you put it that way.
"sorry folks, we know the website is broken, but we are going to force you to use it so we can save face with the other side"
thats cowardice
im not sure which is worse, knowing it was bad but still pushing it through, or actually believing it wasnt bad.
