  1. Wait til someone writes a virus that alters the program to tell you its safe while you get hit by a bus instead of being alerted.

but in all seriousness, this is something that at this point in time is of little value, but in a future of self driving cars may mature into something very useful.

This right here is the perfect example of when groups push for goals without looking at the big picture. So not only did they take away camping, and hiking from the people who live there, but to add insult to injury, it was sold, and a golf course put in (private I assume) so the land is now not available for ANYONE, any animals that called the place home are now gone and theres an ugly private golf course where a once beautiful park was.

Environmentalists who push like this really piss me off. Meanwhile hes sitting at home patting himself on the back for what a good job he did saving the planet from the evil humans....

Ive noticed ever since tablets have come out more and more pages going to a dark backround, I wonder if the dev is taking tab bat life into consideration when redesigning these pages. Anytime ive come across a phone/tablet friendly redesign (nascar.com is the worst) it tends to make it horrible on a PC. Page optimization for a pc vs a touch screen is not the same, as we saw with windows 8 and metro, I dont know why web devs think it can be work for their site.

I simply disagree is all, i find disabling the comments a sign that they know they wrote something that would incite a heated debate and they dont want to deal with it, they just want to get their point across without having to hear the opposition. Many papers are like this, my local papers webpages all have comments, however on anything that is even mildly controversial they will disable comments. I find that to just be a slap in the face. Sure it is their site their rules I just find it really annoying personally.

Sure the quality has dropped in the past 10 years but there are still alot of good posters here, and there is no reason to disable posts on a story because of fear of what will be said. In fact the entire Idea just tells me whatever is happeneing that we would even considering such a thing, is a horrible thing to begin with or something that is clearly wrong.
