"We should not give a shred of our liberty to these people - they are pathetic and worthless;"
I don't think politicians would like it that way. It'll be a while before "security" becomes a non-issue.
I've recently rewatched ST:TNG seasons 1-7 and DS9 Season 1. Ronald D. Moore had AN influence, but not a HEAVY influence.
Star Trek had gone downhill with the beginning of Season 1 of Voyager, the quality stayed around the same throughout the whole series (third bad episodes, third average episodes and third good episodes).
Whoever rated this post is obviously a BSG fan.
The most informative interview I've read in a while, good to see the Amigas mentioned. I'd like to hear that story told. It has always bothered me that an old, simple PC can load up Windows 95 quickly and not feel any slower running software of the era.
Inefficient bloatware seems to be the achilles heel of all the RAM and processing power increases.
Everytime I load up a new Linux live CD or install one to a spare hard drive, I want to make the switch but I am always reminded of these things: - I cannot (with only a few exceptions) play PC games from past and present. - I cannot use Nero Recode 2, which produces the best results I have come across. - The software I want is not available therefore this OS cannot do what I want.
I don't want to run two operating systems either eg. browsing the internet on Linux and doing the rest on Windows.
The day Linux poses a threat to Windows is the day mainstream software developers release software for it. However if the open-source community that develops Linux refuses to let this happen (or is strongly opposed to it) then it will only be a curiosity for everyone who wants to do more with their PC than the basics (internet, work with documents, edit images).
Tried Knoppmyth but it was worse than Windows Media Centre, neither supported my digital TV card.
I hired the PC copy of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory but couldn't play it after I returned the original disc due to the lack of a crack. I had to hire the PS2 version and copy that instead. And I formatted my hard drive to get rid of the starforce drivers that were on it.
I recently hired Rainbow 6: Lockdown and installed it on a 10GB hard drive I had lying about, I can enjoy the superior PC version because fortunately someone was able to crack the game.
All starforce does is create a lot of unessesary effort and annoyance, I can't afford to buy PC games due to living on AUD$10,500 a year. Now I should be able to enjoy Ubisoft's future games (until my PC's specs are outdated) without having to resort to playing an inferior PS2 version.
I think the article is skewed, the modern shots all looks they've been taken from cut scenes or replays instead of "in game" shots, for a fair comparison.
Then we'd get a full shadow government term of someone intelligent leading the party (i.e. Latham).
Is he trying to get the Family First vote or something?

Who the hell scores these posts? Why aren't they scored by regular users?

It seems like a little too recently that all the stars out there were thought to have no planets circling them.

Don't they have an original thought in their head? What next, more statements about Iran?
