    Really, my USB Intel webcam won't even work decently on Windows 2000!

    Fourtunately a perfect copy of a bill will have a perfect copy of the serial number. Be fairly easy to filter these out of the economy.

    As for introducing it. If you needed perfect copies it wouldn't be an issue today.

    I can hear it now. some really innovative stuff for the first 31 seconds, then another 4 minutes of nothing but wierd burping noises.

    But really, why not just offer a crappy copy of the full tune? The first 30 seconds are usually build up to the meat of the tune anyways.

    Speakers can only do so much, 1-bit audio is prolly better, and .ogg can compress surround.

    A 32-bit DAC would suck arse production and cost wise. :-)

    FLOPs are great for fancy graphics and physics simulations. But they do very little to make windows drag faster or cram more data down the same pipe.

    That makes MFLOPs no less relevant than MIPs though. (okay, a bit, but I like fancy graphics)

    I built an air pump with a circular chamber, input in the middle of one side, output shooting off the top. The main mechanism is a spinning disk in the chamber, idea courtesy of Tesla.

    I made a crappy implementation, but it can still generate enough of a breeze to cool my monitor down a bit. :-)

    7pt console text is the wave of the future.

    8pt text is excessively large, takes more time to blit, more memory to store (or atleast the spared 8-15 bits could be converted to color data). :-)

    You'd have to chip the ube or something then, GODs are there to be hard to replicate. If you can just dump a copy to a normal 3" CD then Nintendo will have failed with their copy protection (did I mention they were serious about that?).

    Ideally the delay is there so they can produce enough of the black GameCubes to meet demand.

    I'm sorry, you seem to be illusioned about how powerful the Dreamcast is compared to the next wave of systems. Yes, the PS2 was kinda weak. The PSX was pixel soup too. Don't assume every game company is as foolhardy as the relatively new and highly nieve Sony is.
