So, as somebody who has no idea what that means (sorry) - how can that be truly random? Aren't there some laws of physics that would govern how it would work?
The Jungle is still happening in real life, in real factories. Maybe not here in the USA, but in many other places.
It's sort of offensive / ridiculous to compare the two.
"No work life balance while making $125,000 a year" is not the same as sweatshop slave labor, and it's silly to compare the two.
I have never, ever, ever looked at a person with a device holster, and not thought that they looked silly.
Be it for your phone, tablet, or otherwise, device holsters are the crocs of technical accessories.
I see this as being useful under one condition only. When you ABSOLUTLY MUST have x86 emulation on a non-x86 platform for whatever reason. Like sparc or power. Much cheaper than those drop-in cards sun sells that let you run windows. (At least I assume it will be)
Probably a lot slower though.

I've had tons of outages on rackspace cloud. Including systemwide networking outages.
They're utterly hideous. At least the shoes that people think of as crocs are. They do make some "normal" looking shoes/sandals. Those are fine.
In fact, the parallel is almost too good. crocs: but they're comfortable! holsters: but they're convenient! me: but you look like an idiot!
They look awful?

Imperfect system not perfect. That doesn't make it worthless.
