And even if it was 100% off the shelf components, are you actually suggesting that unless you obtain all the raw materials yourself, (smelt the ore into usable metal, form your own plastic, create your own propeller motor from scratch) you haven't invented anything yourself? That's preposterous.

While you're correct, you're in a bit of an edge case (albeit a bit one) since you have to deal with that whole $1=1€ thing on steam.

The rest of us paying in USD generally get games cheaper on Steam.

You as a private entity have the right to refuse service to anyone you want. If people catch on that you're discriminating against blacks, Asians, or Catholics, you might run into a problem with people fighting back because it's morally unacceptable in this day and age, but there is no legal requirement that you service anyone you don't like.

  8. Cancelling before the increase on Netflix Deflects Rage Over Price Increase · · Score: 1

I ate the first price increase they did a few months back. This one I'm not going to eat, and definitely not after their "for most people it's a latte or two" comment.

That arrogant asshole, it's not just about the price, but what that price means.

    1. They didn't add any value to their service, just like the last one
    2. If enough people eat this price increase, why won't they eat another one? If the price has gone up twice, surely it'll go up again.
    3. They snuffed out their competition (blockbuster) with a low pricing scheme. Now that they don't have to worry about it, they can hike the price.

Those people who think this is the last price increase are oblivious. You can just smell the arrogance that Netflix is letting off now. How many more "latte or two"'s are you going to eat before you see what's going on?

Not saying you're bullshitting or anything but my father was hospitalized last year over a severe infection in his hand. He was so sick from it that he was out of it and unable to sign any paperwork. The doctors who saw him were very up front with me about their thoughts and fears about his health.

Are you suggesting that they violated HIPAA by telling me? I was under the impression HIPAA was more about sharing information with non relatives, or to stop those who can access the information from accessing it without a valid reason.

Because it's not the norm on that platform for the developer to be necessarily profit oriented. Sure there are many who seek to make a profit, but a lot of them just like making games for the console, and selling them is merely a bonus.
