I believe that little strategy won't work now that IE won't be embedded into the OS. People will either be moving to Macs, or using Opera or Firefox depending on what suits their needs.
I remember I saw an article highlighted on Scroogle about Wikipedia and editing. Their editing team simply cannot keep up with the amount of illigitamate crap that even encyclopedia dramatica would't take in coming into the wiki. I could put in facts that look legitamate enough, and no one would bother. For example, an article about a person was looked up by the person himself. He found many factual innacuracies in his article. The only thing the Wikipedia editing team did with these factual innacuracies was fixing minor spelling errors. That is all I'll delve in, though there is quite more to the story.
I just see poorly written crap compared to slashdot. Some are so sparse it makes you want to click on the link. Slashdot seems much better than that even if the story isn't exactly the newest.
Really some of that, if not all of that article to me is junk.
Maybe they should have a size limit. Or, possibly a basic distro with simply the basics and nothing more so you can just run Linux. Maybe they should go for the size of ClosedBSD - 1 floppy...
MySpace is a waste of time. There are plenty of other ways to communicate to friends that are superior. Forums, for example. Invisionfree loads faster than any myspace profile. Blogging seems to me to be the new hit way to talk to yourself. Some of these profiles have such malformed CSS they crash your browser.
SCO sues hundreds of beginners for infringing on their application SCO HelloWare. As a result, the default beginner's app has been changed to, "Hello, Earth!", which SCO is expected to sue in a few days.
Fron what I can see from this, Sony's console is headed for the disaster that Sega had before it. It is more expensive than the xbax as the Saturn was to the PS 1. The lack of an SDK and possibly games was also a problem that seems to be a parallel with Sega's failed console. Of course, it won't be as cataclismic as it was for Sega, but it still spells disaster for Sony.
I usually see that Linux and Windows advocates are fairly reserved and sensible. Many other enthusiasts such as the OS/2 fanatics observe this behaviour also. I can't really say the same thing for many mac enthusiasts.
I've seen so many mixes in windows expiriances, but yet my PCs with windows on them rarely crash(happens only every couple years, when I screw around with it). My FreeBSD and BeOS computers have never crashed so far...
But anyways, I like a lot of the Sony Tech. I have'nt had anything I liked with Apple since the early days with the Apple II. Sony has given me tech I've liked, expecially the consoles. Apple hasn't.
I'd love to see apple go down in the media war and Sony to rise once again! I hate apple.
* You may ignore the following rambling *
Their computers are overpriced for the given hardware(A Lenovo Thinkpad has more power and features than an Intel Mac mini duo of the same price - An Intellistation Pro has more power features than a dual processor Intel iMac of slightly higher price).
* You may continue to read the rambling is over *
I think the Creative Zen is better

Why is Kenneth Lay's death marked suicide when he died of natural causes?

It's not piratepartiet. It's piratebyran...
I actually was thinking the same thing...
Slashdot is much more superiour than digg. We shouldn't lower articles to their level. They're not even good at describing things.
There is no sense in carrying netscape anymore. It's old and decrepit. AOL should let it die.
The Xpod
I can see it now - cheap, overhyped, and bsoding.
Sorry if that bothered you. I thought code meant something different...
