I never seem to reply to the comment I mean to. The above was for Just some guy's "lets use all our main memory for hookers and blow because the swap file will save us" idea.

    I agree with Vancorps.

If that were true we'd all have 16 mb of ram, 20gb dedicated swap drives and every program on the system would open when you boot it, just in case you need it. Windows vs Linux is irrelevant to this point, thats just not a good idea.

Yeah this is more anti Xbox propaganda. I've had my 360 since launch. Ive played all manner of 360 and xbox titles, as well as movies and burned media, with no scratching. It hasnt burned my house down either.

If yours has a problem call MS. By many accounts they are quite helpful.

No, youre evil. I'm not afraid to say it. I have little patience for stupid people, but that doesnt give you/spammers/malware writers licence to bring the internet to a grinding halt to exploit some idiots.

I suppose its ok to scam old ladies out of their pension checks? They should know better right? I'll bet you take candy from babies too.

He's right, its less about each box and more about the perfomance of the emulation profile for each game. Halo 2 works flawlessly. Forza motorsport is practically unplayable, as it runs at ~ 3/4 speed. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory works great, as long as you dont patch or download any of the content. Doing so will cause the game to freeze up on boot.

I love my 360, but they need to go back to the drawing board on some titles.

I agree that the US would benefit from getting with the SI program. But you're just America bashing; this has nothing to do with measurement. American scientists and engineers are well versed in the use of SI measurement. Its the average Joe holding us back from converting.

Every culture has some antiquated traditions or customs. Drop the anti US vitriol.

As someone who was recently ill and on a quest for Pseudoephedrine (Sudafed, Advil Cold, etc)I agree that this is futile and frutrating. Since pseudoephedrine is not illegal to buy or own, it doesnt really stop someone determined to get it. I think if I had a methlab and needed a steady supply of pseudoephedrine, there are any number of ways, not the least of which being simply ordering it from the internet.

This is political grandstanding for good pr (think of the children) and nothing more. The only thing it accomplishes is pissing off sick folks.
