I remember overclocking an Intel 300 to 600 and later a 450 to 900. Back then, that was an easy multiplier change that just worked and it made a $50 chip into a $900 one and I never had a crash. On my latest AMD chip all I did was unlock the 4th core that was locked. Works fine so far. But if you are liquid cooling and all that, you're always going to wonder.
Yes. But you can't patent a new species of plant or animal just because you are the first to find it. Those are "natural" ie found in nature. Taking those building blocks and making a discovery with them (a tungsten wire will glow when electricity is applied to it) is worthy of patent protection, not "hey, I found this new thing called tungsten and nobody else can use it".
I have just installed SSDs for a few people instead. "It's like a new PC" and yet exactly the same as they are used to with Windows 7. Everybody's happy.
if they have to learn a completely alien interface anyway, go for an Apple.
Microsoft screwed up here. If you're the incumbent with over 90% market share, never EVER push your customer into having to make a decision to do anything other than the status quo. Windows 8 should have been Windows 7 with the "Metro Marketplace" add-on for free. Then, nobody would have had any reason to hate it. Everyone would have just upgraded like cattle going through a gate.
Not a bad strategy. I bought a Wii U and there are about 2 games my daughters play. Mario was fun, but there's really not much else that's an A+ title. Finally they announced some games at E3, but even half of those won't see light of day until 2014. Really disappointed in Nintendo.
After reading that, sorry he died, but he was asking repeatedly to be struck by police. Constantly sneaking back into cordoned off areas and all in all just being a pest to the cops on purpose all day and the worst that happened is that they struck him on the leg and pushed him out of the way. That's exactly the kind of restraint I would expect professional cops to have. It's sad that the stressful day he set up for himself resulted in a heart attack, but I can hardly blame an officer for pushing him out of the way when they are cordoning off an area.
The funniest thing is that you actually believe what you are saying... What a government stooge. You think the "elected representatives" are listening to their constituents anymore? That's rich.
And until this guy released that all Verizon users were subject to it, nobody had standing. So how is it up to the Supreme Court when nobody can get it there?

Apply raw animal emotion to the stock market and then do the opposite. That should be the same as "buy low", "sell high".

We're all cool, dude.
The part where they need to violate the Constitution in order to do it. (They don't. They're just lazy and greedy.)
"Anyone wanting to punish Snowden is a modern-day Nazi sympathizer." How's that for #6?
At my job in 1998 I was burning CDs, but it was a brand new "2X" drive. Ooo. And I was the only one I knew who had a CD burner.
I would refuse a search and call my lawyer.
From the web statistics, almost all of them.
No. Look at training figures for large corporations. Windows 8's stupid default interface and schizophrenic personality has a huge learning curve.

That's why the web counters give more accurate results, and they say that Win 8 is worse than Vista in adoption.

Hey, if you can't do the time...
Companies don't usually refuse to hire people over misdemeanors...

Is that a quote? If so, from what document?

Just realize that in his situation if he had done A), he probably wouldn't have been able to do B).
Praying may have more chance. Obama might be more likely to listen to God than to this petition.
And according to that same Constitution, Congress is not allowed to set up secret courts...
And until this guy released that all Verizon users were subject to it, nobody had standing. So how is it up to the Supreme Court when nobody can get it there?
The Constitution doesn't allow for secret courts either, so still don't care.
Yes, but those didn't violate Americans' rights.
