Notice that Solaris moved away from M:N and to 1:1. It is WAY simpler, and thus easier to do correctly and with good performance. NetBSD and FreeBSD are the only ones still trying to do M:N threading, because its too complicated, and offers only theoretical benefits that haven't actually been realized in practice.
"Evolution theory" is a science. Constantly repeating the same old rehashed "theories aren't scientific" nonsense is absurd.
"It assumes that the half-life of C-14 remains constant"
Yes it does. It makes this assumption based on massive amounts of hard evidence. The half life of EVERY radioactive isotope remains constant. We observed it over and over again with all sorts of different radioactive elements, with all sorts of different half lives. For the half life of carbon 14 to have changed, physics as we understand it must be seriously wrong.
"It assumes the amount of carbon that was in the bones in the first place."
No it doesn't. Its based on the amount of carbon 14 vs the amount of carbon 12. We know exactly how much carbon is there, cause we measure it. Its assuming the amount of carbon 14 vs carbon 12 is consistent. And there's mountains of evidence to support that.
Too bad you aren't smart enough to understand what the guy said. Excercise was an analogy, you can't run alot if you don't train, and you can't concentrate alot if you don't train. He didn't say you can't be physically active because you are used to multi-tasking, or even anything vaguely resembling such nonsense.
No, there's far more BSD code in OSX than a typical linux distro. Large portions of the OSX kernel, and almost the entire unix userland are BSD. Linux only uses a few random BSD bits and pieces.
We don't have nice GPU accelerated drivers for most cards. Both nvidia and ati provide shitty broken drivers that cause lockups and have lots of random an unknown incompatabilities, and are a HUGE fucking pain to try to get working.
If Linus had anything hanging between his legs, he would have bitchsmacked these assholes by now, and they would have released the API docs for their cards, allowing for free and WORKING drivers.
"This is all assuming that you're in an open field. More likely, there'll be places to hide behind, corridors to duck into, etc."
No, its not assuming that at all. Think about it for a sec, someone pulls a gun on you and says give me your wallet. What is faster, you running and ducking behind something, or him moving his finger a little?
"Just because someone has a gun doesn't mean game over."
No, I didn't say that. I just said running is the stupidest option, and will almost certainly get you killed unless they are bluffing and won't really shoot you.
Most people can hit the broad side of a person from 10 feet away. And you will be lucky if you manage to get 10 feet away, the minute you start to run you are still way too close to be hard to hit, and that's when they are going to start shooting.
So now someone with autism knows they are boring people, and has a gadget reminding them of the fact. Is this going to help them interact with people better, or just make them feel pressured to try to be interesting when they don't really know how to be interesting, thus making them flustered, overwhelmed, and feel like withdrawing?
Would you mind telling us what "engage their eyes" is supposed to mean? They just tell the little enson crusher in their head to engage and suddenly the person they are talking to stops being bored?
Also, "web 2.0" is a meaningless buzzword for marketing douches and retards. I'm wishing cancer upon you.
No, a web form is not faster. And your database is supposed to validate data unless you are retarded. You don't need to manually insert, view or edit complex data via SQL, there's plenty of graphical database admin tools out there. If you can create the tables to begin with, then you can obviously put data in the tables too. Hence scaffolding serves no purpose besides tricking people into thinking rails makes things faster than it really does.
"All scaffolding does is create dead simple create/read/update functionality in a controller for a model."
Yes I know. That's why I asked why its even in rails at all, much less featured in videos.
"This is moderately useful at the beginning of a project where it saves you time writing bootstrap code"
No, its not. I can already add/update/delete/view things in the database, how do you think I created the database to begin with? This is what I mean. The only thing you can use scaffolding for is to be like a really crappy database admin tool. But you already need a database admin tool anyways, so what's the point of scaffolding?
Eventually, even the dumbest loonix users will figure it out if you just keep repeating the same old crap. If you keep your BSD is dying trolls original and unique, then they will think its true and keep using loonix. Please do your part to keep brain damaged loonix users off the BSD lists, thanks!
They don't do that though. SunSSH is based on years old code, with security features (like privsep) disabled. Sure, Sun could track CVS if they wanted to, but they don't. And them having to track CVS is not the same as being notified in advance and given time to fix the bug.
Since rails people always trot out this "scaffolding isn't supposed to do X" answer no matter what X is, the question remains: WTF is it supposed to do? Why is scaffolding even in rails, and why is it such a prominent and hyped "feature" when it is totally useless?
Most unixy software (and all software using GNU autotools) all you to configure with --prefix=wherever. This isn't even something special about gentoo, this has just always been possible on every unix.
No it is not insightful, it is a senseless question. ASP is server side. "AJAX" is just javascript, its purely client side. Nothing about IE7 (or any other IE version) has anything to do with ASP.
Arguably the least competant, most idiotic, and most destructive and detrimental FreeBSD developer too.

Yeah, I'm sure everyone desperately wants a job an "Anonymous Coward Inc.".
No wonder digg is such a pile of shit, is everyone there as clueless as you?

They already told you. If you managed to get to the "object oriented" part, how did you miss the "contract" part?

Intel has even said ALL of their core duo chips support VT. Just because apple hasn't done anything with it yet, doesn't mean its not there.

Yeah, and I'm sure spiderman encourages people to jump off buildings.

"Depending on your skill level, a handgun probably isn't a problem either. If you're not capable of the requisite level of defense, then run."
Yep, just run from the guy with the gun. You can outrun bullets right?

It is both. Go watch the videos.

Poorly. Catalyst is far more flexible, and doesn't force less than ideal choices onto you like rails does.
"but blocking behavior is not the same as being "single-threaded"."
Yes it is. If its multithreaded then when one thread blocks, the others will still keep working.
