Curses! The RIAA has finally discovered that all Data is really just encrypted music, as it COULD be rearranged in a fashion in which it reproduces PIRATED MEDIA, STOLEN from our mighty overlords.

Before long, the robots will have Rebeled and Enslaved us. To (ab)use an old cliche, I for one welcome our new robot overlords.

Well, I personally aren't much of a Fan of the GTA series, but it is open ended nontheless.

  5. I guess... on Will Wright's Dream Machines · · Score: 0

A lot of games are becoming more and more linear. On the other hand, we're also getting more Truely Open-Ended games. Personally, I think some publishers would want to avoid an Open Ended game due to replyability. It could lower sales of Newer games. Kind of like the way Arcade Games are made harder to keep you puttin' in the Quarters.

That's simply Because all Windows Boxes have WMP bundled('Cept for the EU, I think), so it's the "best" way websites to have media and ensure there users won't have download plug-in's. I mean, it's not like Windows is bundled with Real and QT.

  8. Yeah on GDC - The Importance of Self-Publishing · · Score: 0, Redundant

It's worked well for Valve, and don't forget all the horrible things you hear about Publishers. Rushing the unfinished game, Stuff like that whole StarForce fiasco to "Protect their investment", etc. It'd be stupid to say Publishers are all Evil, but I think that Self-Publishing is a very working model.

  9. Draw The Line on The State of Online Advertising · · Score: 1

You Really have to just find somewhere to draw the line. On one hand, advertisements can be obnoxious and irritating, on the other hand, These websites need Ads to exist and pay costs. Morally, if you hate Ads so much you should just go to a different site. On the other hand, I use a Pop-Up Blocker, so I'm not taking sides.
