  1. Re:1990s Motorola Flip Phone on Consumers Look For More Utilitarian Cellphones · · Score: 0

Ahh yes the Motorola Star Tac!! I nearly cried the day they said I could no longer use it on the Sprint network. Not 911 compliant they said. Bulllshite I said... but I still had to give it up.
Best damn phone I've ever owned. Easy to use interface, extremely rugged and solid reception. wipes tear

  2. How do you know? on US Releasing 9/11 Flight 77 Pentagon Crash Tape · · Score: 0

How do you know that there should have been a skid mark?? How do YOU know how big a hole from a 757 is suposed to be? C'mon folks. It's an airframe. It's made of aluminum and skin. It disintegrates. I haved personally walked the crash site of an F104 fight that augered into a forest at 400 knots at a shallow angle. The largest piece left was the size of a car door. The Pentagon is NOT a soft forest. It's brick and concrete. What would you expect to see???

  3. Bogus emails on The Economy of Online Crime · · Score: 0

I,ve had and reported several fake emails from ebay and paypal. They're easy to spot with a little help from the legitimate sites.
One of them had me nearly fooled last year. I scrolled to the bottom filling out stuff for my E-Bay account (or so I thought) and there it was. A field for my PIN!!! I backed outta the site and sent a notice to E-Bay. Lesson learned. WATCH OUT!! Supect all...

  4. Surprised??? on Telecoms Facing $50 Billion Lawsuit for Wiretaps · · Score: 0, Redundant

This is no surprise, or at least, it shouldn't be. First the patRIOT act eroded the Bill of Rights, and now it is revealed that we've all been wiretapped.
Fodder for some lawyers and a catalyst for change. The damage is done. All the denial in the world won't make that go away.

I see this as a healthy wakeup call. An awakening, perhaps, that seems trivial at first, but could snowball into impeachment hearings. "one word" indeed!

    One cynic's prediction.

  5. Re:As a father... on Politicians Target Social Sites For Restrictions · · Score: 1

I'm NOT a Father, but I see a lot of what you're talking about and I agree with your view on the matter. Parents need to pay attention to their kids and do their job. NOT the federal Gov.
So what's next, blocking sites that my have "terrorist" links??? Or how about sites that say anything bad about Walfart?
The fact that they are targeting "social network" sites is very revealing. Those sites are about free expression which is what democracy is supposed to be about. I see more and more, that we are folllowing China's footsteps to a censored internet. This is just the begining.

  6. No need to implant on Social Consequences and Effects of RFID Implants? · · Score: 1

Why implant? Fot the romance of it? To be the ultimate geek? There are plenty of ways to keep an RFID on one's body without implanting it. The whole idea of putting the thing under the skin is simply a novel fantasy as attractive to some as a nose piercing or a tattoo.
