Passing stupid unenforceable laws always works..Just look at how wonderfully well Prohibition worked in the US.. Not a single person drank during Prohibition, and there was certainly no crime created because of it....
"Bush lied about WMDs which has resulted in thousands of dead US soldiers. Why isn't he impeached? Clinton lied about his personal affair with an intern, and he got impeached. No one can argue which was more harmful to the country."
I blame the liberal media for this...Save us all Bill O'Reilly!!!
"Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."
What I want to know is - How is MS offering a new service that costs $50 a year equate to "Ballmer beaten by spyware"?? Sounds more like "Ballmer gets even richer from spyware"
If by "unlimited hours of entertainment" of MMO you mean "unlimited hours of doing the same boring FedEx style quest, alternating with killing X number of X monster" you are absolutely correct.
Wait, you are using the term "normal people" when refering to consumers of videogame magazines??
Yes content is great, but if you can't find it stuck in between all the ads it is worthless to me. I would much rather pay more for a magazine I could actually read then one I had to filp 10 pages of ads between the "content". I don't object to advertising in mags, I object to there being more advertising than content. 5 years ago this wasn't a problem and guess what - I had subscriptions to 3 vidoegaming magazines then... Guess how many subsciptions I have now??
Funny, when applied to Mac OS X it is the greatest security feature ever. How many posts have you read from Mac users touting how secure Os X is because if you try to do anything important to the system, a box pops up and asks for the root password??

I think someone from the 1920s biggest question would be "How come no one has killed this Paris Hilton person yet??"
Blu-Ray vs. HD-DVD = DVD-R vs. DVD+R
The only real winner is to support both formats...
Or the Department of Homeland Security....wait...

Hermann Goerring (at the Nuremberg Trials)
When did Chuck Berry become a Senator??
"A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves." - Edward R. Murrow
Even if iTunes let him, how is distributing a lame ass song like Neutron Dance the right thing??

I would like to suggest "Godwin's Camaro" as the new term...
"I can install entire operating systems in half that. Some people really know how to waste space..."
and did you know they are up to version 6.22 in DOS now??? But I hear there is this OS called "Windows" coming out soon that will blow DOS away...

Obviously you have never heard of the "humor" mod for reality..
Nope, shooting a gun is easy, hitting the target consistently is what is hard...
I need to take an economics course?? I'm not currently manufacturing a product I am wasting 80% of the total.
Yeah, but when they were new people were complaining about them then. This isn't anything new and Sony will always have it's share of bashers...

Newsflash: the reason only 20-30% of magazines sell is because people don't want to waste their money on crap that is over 50% advertising.
A videogamer could never shoot someone in the face - there isn't a "crosshair" to aim with in real life....
Not if you put one of the 600+ page "advertisezines" on your legs and set the laptop on it. Best use for these magazines in the batroom yet!
yeah and don't forget The Sun, Daily Mirror, The Inquirer...
In a nutshell, yes. There used to be a lot more content and a lot less fluff.
The magazines now are more than 50% advertising.. It's like reading a bloody infomercial...
Here you go..you're welcome.

Who knows why, but XP first checks for scheduled tasks on a target machine before it will list the files and folders for that target machine.
In regedit navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Cur
And delete the following key:
{D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}
Close regedit and reboot.
This should turn off the check for scheduled tasks before browsing... and get rid of that blasted delay.
