The first thought I had when I saw that was "Damn I hope there were no children playing in that yard". My next thought was "I hope that never happens to my kids since".
They have to distribute the "Enterprise" source along with the "Enterprise" binaries. They do not have to ship the "Enterprise" source with the "Community" stuff.
On I side note they say they will not stand between one of the "Enterprise" customers hosting the source.:)

I can in fact stop it because I have dual monitors. The hack only goes into full screen mode on one of the monitors which makes it quite easy to shutdown the browser from the other screen. Also, GNU/Linux users can switch between virtual desktops via keyboard and or can kill X. It's the poor Windows users with only one monitor that will feel the most pain.;)
Because unfortunately we sometimes get all excited and tend to want to be number one at DistroWatch http://distrowatch.com/ Then one day you group up and realize we are all on the same team. However, a little friendly competition makes us all strive to be better at what we do, so looking back I don't regret pushing myself harder as I tried to get us over Ubuntu.
I've been running it for some time now as I've signed up as a tester some time back. I must say in the past I was a big Ubuntu hater as I am part of another Linux distro's admin staff. However, I gave it a spin and must admit, as far as polish, ease of use, stability and the latest software goes, Ubuntu is by far the ultimate "free as in beer" ditro in my book. My previous biased opinion was quickly shattered. In retrospect I wish I have tried Edgy.
Yes, that particular search finds pleasant pics, but if you get a bit creative you can still find Images of Tiananmen Massacre. Simply search for "China Massacre" instead.
I personally don't use MySpace but I have several coworkers that we shocked to see out IT guys block access to the site. My first thought was to use an anonymous proxy site. Now I read that more and more of these sites are popping up. It does not help us here. As long as theses site names contain the characters "prox" or "proxy" we cannot connect to them. Our IT guys have blacklisted those characters. We now get the following mesage:
Access Denied (policy_denied)
Your system policy has denied access to the requested URL.
"You must use Internet Explorer Version 6 or higher on a PC running Windows 2000 or later in order to use the CinemaNow service."
This may be how they stop you from burning the disc more than once. Some friendly ActiveX script that cough* destroys* cough secures that downloaded DVD data.
..."a wide variety of topics" being Google?
No..I mean it's a lot better this than seeing stories repeated over and over. Or perhaps "Vista delayed yet again!" etc...etc...:-)

I may not be interesting to everyone, but as an artist I find it very interesting and pleasantly distracting. It is quite nice that Slashdot covers a wide variety of topics. Puts a smile on an otherwise rainy day.
I'm really digging this web browser. Since I'm leading a x86_64 Linux distro project it is very appealing to me. I just may replace the good old Firefox with Flock.
...because they simply do not care about computers and just use it because their job requires them to.
How many times have you heard "I don't care about computers, lol"
Only us geeks care about what we're running because we are informed and have seen the light
We know linux is the way to go and are willing to spend an extra minute or two getting it "just right"(tm).
This is the funniest thing I've read in a while.
I build and repair PCs so I got the punchline right away.
I must have laughed myself to sleep last night.
Most things that are true are the funniest and I could see this really happening.
I know from experience that most people have enough trouble on the outside of a computer much less getting insde.
Please Mod parent up! Extremely funny and truly worth a 7 or 8!:-)
I have seen several instances is U.S. politics where people in some circles stated "We should use law-foo because it is used in Europe so it must be fair". Only to hear the argument "Since when do we use E.U. laws in the U.S. and when does it matter what other countries do?"
So it seems very hypocritical on one side or the other
/* Not a question for Greg */
Greg Stein is a darn good man and Apache is darn good software.
Sadly some stupid people are showing how stupid they are by posting there ignorance.
e.g. I AM A FISH!; Why do you find it neccesary to help companies like CentOS hack rural town websites?; and so on...
Children, please grow up. It just isn't funny anymore.:-(
I agree on the looking to keep Solaris relevant part. There are many reasonable and attractive alternatives out there.

Go open source go! This is great news for us Linux geeks. :)
Thanks a bunch for that tip on the mailing list list! :)

Perhaps the Chinese language itself causes people to search in a different pattern from us English Speaking folk?

I probably can't get this one with my Walmart gift cards. :P

I enjoy viewing his artwork. Very tastefull, and always just right. I'm sure happy to finally know the man behind the pix.

I don't know why this was modded as a troll.
This is a very valid point

I remember 20-30 years back when basic computers filled entire buildings and costed millions of dollars.
These days, desktop computers are faster and more powerfull than those ancient behemoths.
I wonder if desktop PCs thirty years from now will make todays IBM's Blue Gene inferior.
With the rapid rate of development, I belive it may be possible.
Tommorrow's laptop or PS23 may one day be greater than yesterdays "Super-Computer"
You never know. :-)
