do you think that by punishing eric will makes the kids stop. hell no! the only action that 2 of eric's friend will do is cr|h the site again. and this time they will make sure they won't get caught. i'll bet on all of my $34.98

but in my understanding, usury only concern in profit, not copyright. even with allowing fatwa to disallow software patents, it(fatwa) had to throw away more thing with this action (as in respect for other person property/idea). it is not a good idea.

Throughout human history, narrow-minded ex-cons have always been scummy. So it should come as no surprise that the underlying reasons and causes for Gore's intemperate whinges must be defined, examined, and resolved, or they'll never cease.

I haven't had the chance to read all the comment. but i can't wait to add my own reply

First, movie is about entertainment. The correct potrayal of hackers/crackers will only make yawn on most people.

But that not really saying that there is no good stuff for entertainment for hollywood to use in potraying h/c. i remember reading a Marvel comics book...a story about a character named Micro-chip (i don't remember his real name...its real geeky). he is a character from PUNISHER line of books, he help punisher to get information on crime (where a lot of drugs been sold, where there is a meeting of crime czar). but on this particular mini series comics...it tell story about the beginning of M-c. it is really good (but i think only an indie film would like to film this). he is a CS student and got thrown-out. then to get money for food ...he sell information that he got from hacking and sell it to highest bidder. until he meet Frank Castle. he had to work with FC because M-c know that FC=punisher.

i thinks the plot of the story...and the reality of h/c does come thru' from this comics. it doesn't use the flashy heroic standing as what we usually find in most comics. and doesn't have 'beautiful' people as in "Hackers".

i read in Linux Journal (forget wihich issue...probabaly August 1999) that E doesn't fall into exact categories of wm. eg: kde-highly integrated wm, wm2-lightweight, fvwm2-highly configurable. E had several features from other wm and plus other. still, i do not use E. reason?

for me...first impresion is everything. the fist time i got my E, it is too dark (the backgroud, the side bar, the font) compose of colors that near color of black. i dump it without second thought. even after visiting sites that provide the numerous theme for E, it just doesn't interest me. right now i'm sticking to icewm. icewm doesn't have the quality that i like but it will do for now.

this doesn't mean that i bad mouth E. it got qualities that others wm neglect. the themes for E is very interesting compare to other wm. but E need more than that to get me in using one.
