  1. From the list. Fraudulent vote by an illegal immigrant. Voter ID and proof of citizenship would have prevented that one. And your second point? See the link - illegal immigrant voting in the 2008 election.

If taxes are based on consumption of Government services, then they should be flat. EVERYONE should pay the exact same amount. The State of Washington budget is about $44 billion, there are 7.4 million people, so everyone - every man, woman and child - needs to pay up about $6,000. That would seem to be fair and equitable, if it's about paying for services.

Or is it, rather, about redistribution of wealth? From each according to their ability, to each according to their need?

It's actually over a thousand proven cases of voter fraud. I guess you don't care about those, eh? "Not enough to matter" - and yet we've had hundreds of elections change on as few as 1 vote...

Now, I agree with you that voting IS a right - and, in the Constitution, it is reserved for citizens only:

Amendment 14: the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age, and citizens of the United States

Amendment 15: The right of citizens of the United States to vote

Amendment 19: The right of citizens of the United States to vote

Amendment 24: The right of citizens of the United States to vote

Amendment 26: The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote

Funny, each time the right to vote is mentioned it's brought up in terms of CITIZENSHIP. Non-citizens are NOT allowed to vote. I guess we ignore those who chose to break the law? Or do you believe we should prosecute any caught committing voter fraud to the full extent of the law?

I wonder what you think about proving citizenship to purchase and own a firearm? Is that OK with you? The right to keep and bear arms is completely affirmed, and incorporated against the States. How come proof of ID, citizenship status - and much more - is OK for a 2nd Amendment right?

It will most likely end up being used in a few years to tax Boeing further. Basically the thought process would be "Boeing builds jets that burn lots of fossil fuels, so let's use this tax to pre-emptively tax Boeing's jets based upon the CO2 they will emit over their lifespan". A slick way to add a few million dollars of tax to every jet that rolls out of Paine Field...

Look at your own quote posted above; they have NOT achieved 3500 cars in a week. Musk stated that all parts of the assembly line have demonstrated the ability to do 500 cars per day; that does not mean it has done 500 per day. Nor does it mean it can do 3500 per week.

Demonstrating a capability and actually USING the capability are two different things. It's like looking at the nameplate capacity of, say Ivanpah Solar Power Facility as 392 MW, and then checking and finding the best it's ever done for a month was 132 MW (98,849 MWh for the month). If you read Musk's claim - you will see he does not, in fact, state what you wish him to state. He says it COULD run at 500 units per day, or 3500 per week, but he does NOT say they actually run at that rate.

This big bump in the 1930s, as documented by Dr. James Hansen, noted global warming advocate, in a peer reviewed journal and posted on NASA's server. Who controls the present controls the past."

  11. So myopic of you, ignore the message because you don't like the messenger! The JCPOA was never signed and Kerry's State Department confirmed this fact in their own letter to Mike Pompeo. The fact you aren't aware of this - but sources you shame as untrustworthy are - should give any thinking person pause about their own beliefs in the quality of sources. Stick with your own slanted coverage, and fail to learn what is really happening in the world...

  12. People just aren't paying attention... Trump's style is confrontational, much like you see in business. And it works. Re-opening discussions with China RE: trade. Getting North Korea to the table. He'll start a bit of a tiff with the EU and Canada, and parties will come to the table and actually talk and discuss and results will happen (like we've seen elsewhere).

As far as prison reform, your desire to use executive orders speaks volumes... Haven't you learned yet? Live by the EO, die by the EO. Push for actual legislation that lasts. But hey, that's not dictatorial - which apparently you crave?

PS: if you look at the Daily Mail link, you'll see another link to the actual letter from John Kerry's State Department that confirmed that, yes, months after the "agreement", Iran still had NOT signed it. But that's OK, intention is more valuable than results, right?

  13. So we haven't had real communism yet? Perhaps the failure of communism is the way it is so easily hung-up at dictatorship - the concentration of all power into the State immediately corrupts those heading the State to simply stop there and not share with anyone. Meaning that communism will never be realized, because the fatal flaw of dictatorship in its path.

  14. Capitalism is an economic philosophy. The Nordic countries are capitalistic, too (called the Nordic Model) from an economics perspective. The opposite of capitalism would be communism, and I'm wondering if anyone can point to a communist economy that is better for the resources, the land, and the people than capitalist economies?

  15. So other than capitalism, what do you think we should use? What non-capitalist economy has shown itself to be better for resources, the land, and people?

  16. Dissent is patriotic! Except when it was against President Obama, then it was just racism...

  17. Economy is in good shape and getting better. We're finally addressing the failures of NAFTA, killed the TPP, and getting China (and the EU, to a lesser extent) to have real talks about protectionism and free trade. Not to mention getting a little sit-down with North and South Korea. And pulling us out of insane agreements with Iran (who never signed in the first place) that exclude inspections of all military sites. Great jobs report. Positive trends among public opinion that we're on the right track. Actual progress on prison reform. Unleashed the dogs of war against ISIS and effectively ended them (via elimination of 99% of all ISIS-held territory).

But other than those, and many more, yeah - what's he ever done for us?

  24. When jobs become scarce, the gif economy will expand again.

  25. Why shouldn't they give it a pitch? Perhaps you still think it's an employer's market, and they can get you to jump for less than you're really worth. They're doing the car dealer thing on your trade-in, trying to low-ball you. Smart move on their part - they represent the employer, not you so of course they want to low-ball you.
