    When universities and companies put forth exclusive "Girls can Code" events, or hold open slots for women, then yes - here is an effort to force people to become engineers. When programs are set up exclusively for one group - and not offtered for others - it is discrimination with a final result expected: equality of outcome.

    Or perhaps men and women find different things fulfilling. I know my wife tends to value time shopping with her friends more than I do, and I know I value time completing the latest design much more fulfilling than she does. Guess what - different genders are different!

    No, yours was. Snopes was a bunch of handwaving; the NY Times - hardly a conservative institution - laid out the Uranium One deal quite well, including the tens of millions that flowed to the Clinton Global Fund, and that Hillary! was instrumental in approving the deal.

  7. First thing, it's relatively easy to set up an offshore tax haven. Singapore, Hong Kong, Gibraltar all make it simple to set up your own company. And it will cost less than $1500 per year to maintain - and you can easily save that much in taxes annually if you care to. But hey - a little effort to save money is a bad thing, right? As far as the Government being broke, it's been that way for decades. In fact, we've not had a surplus of tax funds since 1957...

    No, see, you don't understand. Foreign sources trying to influence our election by exposing the truth is fake news. Domestic sources trying to do so by blatant lying is perfectly acceptable and should be commended (as long as they try to influence in the right direction; otherwise you deserve to be targeted with the full force of the Federal Government).

    What is "moral" about paying more taxes than required? If morality is about paying taxes, then you must consider the rich the most moral of all, since they pay the highest tax rate and most of the tax money. And the bottom 50% of income earners must all be immoral cretins since they pay, essentially, nothing.

    Just my wife. And a close friend. And a dozen of their immigrant friends as well - including two who just married on July 4th (one from Argentina, one from China, neither are US citizens). They all work to integrate, but many down here in Southern California refuse to integrate. Thus we end up with bi (or tri or more) lingual everything, paying hundreds of millions in benefits to illegal immigrants who demand that money, etc.

    If you hold a green card in the US for 5 years you too can become a US citizen. So the same basic "path" at Australia and Canada. We just don't have their common-sense point system - yet.

    How many of that great success (which it is, by the way - I'm much the same, grandparents were all 3rd grade - or earlier - dropouts, farmers and cooks) demanded to be taught in their native language only, to have their own culture completely accepted and made of more import than the US culture, demanded free food, housing, and anything else, and expected obedience from the existing population?

    When engineers are really cheap, you can hire them by the boatload (pun intended). How else can you justify hundreds of engineers for a company like Twitter? Especially when a company like Craigslist gets by with a few dozen... Investors want to see growth, and if you cannot grow your bottom line, perhaps you can grow your expenses and claim some budget items are booming?
