I work for a Hy-vee in Iowa, and everyone that pays other than cash & gift card, their full name pops up on our register's. Annoys some people when I call them "mr. name" or "miss name" cause even I'm uncomfortable sometimes calling them by name.
you forgot Windows CE:P part of the old joke of "Windows just created a new operating system, combining it's 3 best os's to date: Windows CE, ME, & NT, aka Windows Cement"
MMORPG; like someone stated, Blizzard is really good with the games they release, and I do remember when Diablo 2 was a big hit. It's sizzled down a bit but is still popular, but is no longer mainstream. I've heard before that there is no plans for D3, but I still think if they put the time and $ into development, they could be able to continue the storyline somehow. I personally am keeping away from WOW, but keep myself updated.
one difference here is the fact that when you pay for cable tv, you pay for what the cable operator offers for that price; the only similarity to an ISP is that you pay for what connection speed you want to get online: dial-up/dsl/cable/t1; The internet itself is free, you just have to be willing to pay more to get online at a faster speed, and the only differences in speed from then on is the quality of the connection to the website that you are connecting to; like say the webserver is nothing more then someone's personal computer on a 256/256 dsl connection from some crappy isp, and you would have a nice 5-10 MB/s connection, obviously you won't be able to go fast on that website.
It just seems annoying that we are getting into a dibate over this. Cable tv is different; you don't pay a fee to watch all channels, and the quality is based on how much you pay, but what you can see what you pay.
I'm just against the whole debate, and think everyone should have equal rights to all websites, and the only difference is how it's been with speeds: you pay for dial-up, you get dial-up speeds; you pay for cable internet, you get good speeds to ALL websites.

does this mean MS will still support WinXP till the end of the world?
