  1. Starfox Adventures on Have You Hit a Gaming Wall? · · Score: 1

I played through this one with my son and we were having a great time with it until we got to the level where you had to ride a bird-like reptile and take out missile towers. I'm sure no-one has ever finished it, my wife, my older son and several of his friends had a go and no joy. I was quite annoyed as we had enjoyed the game (my son is eight), the story and invested a lot of time into the game just to hit a wall with what seems like a damn-near impossible twitch section that was totally out of sync with the rest of the game. I hated that level.

PvP is not absolutely compulsory in Eve, travelling in systems with higher security makes PvP almost totally absent. In these systems you can trade, mine and run missions largely without harrassment, if you so choose. I was spending a fair bit of time in LowSec and losing a lot of ships to PvP.I decided to keep out of Low Security for a while and have been quite happily playing the missions with a buddy and no problems. Ill go back to lowsec when I can afford to lose a ship or two becuase with greater risk comes greater reward but that will be my choice, the game does not force you there.

The issue with MMORPGS are that they are by and large populated by other people and other people are jackasses. The more of them you have, the more idiocy, bigotry and anti-social behaviour you get. The stupid thing about MMORPGS is thinking that the experience is going to get better if your game world is populated largely by teenage boys who are totally anonymous and have no consequences of their actions. It aint gonna get better folks.

Now to the homosexuals and the bigots out there, can we please have the word Gay back? I was reading the chronicles of Narnia the other day and was struck by how often a character was described as Gay. Im not sure we have a word with the same meaning to replace it- meaning colourful, carefree light-hearted and happy all at once. Its a kind of cool word.
