    regulation does not have a place in fascism. if it had, german economy would be regulated during world war ii. instead, despite they so desperately needed mass mobilization, they allowed the private sector to function as it was peacetime, and therefore lost 50 to 60% production capacity, because the private sector was maximizing profits despite the need for mobilization.

    Bottom line – Bulldozer isn't good at multithreading, it's good at integer work. Unfortunately, servers are mostly logic work, so sandy bridge is likely to destroy it.

NOT intel. amd. opteron, bulldozer. SUPERcomputer.

    intel cant field more than 6 cores at the same time in even sandy bridge E. multithreaded apps like server apps, shine in bulldozer.

    they are much more capable in multithreaded performance. dozer cores were especially designed for these. like, how apparently 'sucking' for desktops, dozer surpasses all normal SBs (not e) in heavily multithreaded apps (4 cores and more) like photoshop cs5.

    servers are heavily multithreaded. since dozer cores are especially suitable for tasks that are run on servers, more cores become even more desirable.

    3 weeks, 3 supercomputer orders, the minimum value of each is 200 million. 2000 cpus minimum goes to just one of them. none intel, none anything other than amd.

    Some people are not bothered by that 900$. Some people will buy the outrageously priced video cards for the limited benefits.

    i am one of those 'some people', and i participate in communities that are populated by those people, and noone will buy something that provides only 15-20% performance, but burns a small oven and is priced at a fucking $900.
