    tell me another profession on this planet, which produces 1-2 items, and can sit on them for entirety of their lives and into their retirement.

    i code every day to earn my living. i dont see the right of a musician or artist, to write one song a year, go to 1-2 concerts, and take the rest of the year off.

    until i can also have that kind of thing, i dont recognize their right to do it. period.

    They won't win. Eventually the case will make it to a high court and the party will make sure things go in favor of Apple. Proview may very well be a Chinese company, but Apple does a lot of business in China and indirectly provides a lot of employment for Chinese citizens.

    dude. chinese do almost all the manufacturing on the planet already. and apple's sales numbers are not that high to be considered a major factor in china. if apple goes away, others will take its place.

    apple cant go away. they cant find cheaper production anywhere else.

    What we need to do is strike back at the politicians and remind them that they are serving the interests of all the population

    they know very well who they should be serving. they are NOT choosing to serve who they should be serving. instead, they choose whomever pays them.

    the difference of the central european countries is that, there is still a lot of generations currently at the age of running government, corporations etc, who has grown up during the communist era with at least some ideals. you wont find those in anglo-american countries. hence, the opposition from central europe.

    nerds are on the edge of ruling the world, and the only thing that is preventing them are the media dinosaurs ?

    most of what was 'nerd' 5 years ago has become the cultural norm already. all that is left are the old ways of doing things. in media, economics and politics. the new culture had half-taken over media already, but they are fighting back to keep the status quo.

    taking down whole mafiaa out is not necessary. what's needed is to break the cartel. and from among those, the only ones needed are the ones holding the news hostage. take out news corp, and you got not only a major news channel which was previously used for attacks on internet, but also a major hollywood propaganda corporation in the mix.

    just using one major news channel to broadcast the opposition perspective in these copyright shit, would totally balance and offset the easy and surefire attempts the media cartels were doing.

    see, even the sopa thing was not broadcast longer than 2 minutes or so in these channels, and that is after the shit hit the fan. if, news corp or another news channel was owned by silicon valley, and started broadcasting about sopa 2 months ago, there wouldnt even be a sopa hitting the house floors.

    in addition realize that you dont need to buy entirety of a corporation to control it. news corp is worth 50 bn in total, everything included. just google's cash is 44 billion. acquiring controlling shares of news corp, would be enough, and google has more than enough cash at hand to do it.
