Here's what seems to be an (outdated) version of the web site that contains some very old sources/binaries of the program.
From what I've seen, Moonlight 3D seems to create some very nice images. Does anyone have recommendations for 3D modeling/rendering programs that will produce images of a quality that's at least as good as Moonlight 3D?
Here's a nice review of the SMC EtherPowerII, Intel EtherExpress Pro, and 3Com Etherlink XL. According to the article, the SMC outperforms both the Intel and the 3Com card (Intel performs second-best). Pretty interesting since the SMC is actually cheaper than the Intel/3Com NICs.
I've tried looking for Cogent's web site, but couldn't find it. There seem to be a coupla companies with the name Cogent out there, but not the one that does this fiber stuff... Does anyone have a URL?
Many T1 lines I believe still cost ~$1000/month, but this company says that it sells a full T1 starting at $395/month, and claims that Recently with the advance of telecommunications industry and highly competitive Internet market, prices have been lowered for both loop charges (telephone company's line charge) and access pricing.
By the way, I'm looking at only a partial T3 line (1.5Mbps) so I can pay a "low" monthly cost (compared to a full T3), while still being able to upgrade to higher speeds without having to upgrade equipment.
I never had this motion sickness problem, but I wonder if the quality of the sound system attached to the computer has anything to do with it. Maybe motion sickness depends on both the accuracy of the visuals and sound, and gets worse based on how good/bad your sound system (speakers, amp, and sound card) is. Also, maybe having a Surround Sound system also affects sickness.
Perhaps there's also a connection between the accuracy of DirectX/DirectSound and other non-DirectX sound engines that could affect sickness, which would partially explain James's observations.
We're currently looking at a release towards the end of this month.
Uhh, I thought the schedule said that kdelibs will be frozen by the end of this month, and the first beta is planned to be released around May.
Here's what I found on the KDE News Page: The schedule is very aggressive, with a true KDE 1.9 beta due out at the beginning of May. Looks like the final release is still a few months away!
How much do electric vehicles cost these days? What about the cost of getting electricity at gas/electricity stations?
How widespread are "electricity stations" anyway? Can you really drive across the country in an EV and not have to worry about not finding those stations?
Right, we made it up. I don't see the reason why we should use a real flight number since we don't really expect people to listen to the song, go on the web, and check the number.
We (my brother and I) have a friend who's a flight attendant, so we just asked her if we could record her saying that stuff... So we did that, added some effects to make it sound like it was recorded at an airport, and voila!
Thanks for checking out the song anyway. I hope you liked it (other than the first part I guess).:-)
That's tight. Looks like Larry Ellison's dream of having cheap NCs has finally come true... While running a superior operating system at the same time!
It even comes with a flat panel screen, and that for only $99. Impressive. I remember having to do an NC demo a couple of years ago for California ex-Governer Pete Wilson, and the NC we set up had a $4,000 flat panel. From about $4,000 to $99 (I'm sure the flat panel quality is less, but still) is a great improvement.
Yeah, but I need an alarm clock, too. Maybe I should just slap my linux box by my bed.
That's what I do. I schedule my box (under Windows) to play a really annoying sound clip I created when I wake up and blast it through my 2x60W amp. Wakes me up every time.
My computer is the only thing that can wake me up though. I've tried putting alarm clocks at 100% volume on some static radio signal, but I got used to that. Haven't gotten used to my computer alarm clock yet!
Are there any open source sound editing programs out there that are (almost) as good as SoundForge?
Also, are there any professional soundcards (i.e. something better than SB Live, etc.) that are supported under Linux?
Once/if Linux has these two things hopefully I can convince my brother, who will be a sound engineer, to switch to Linux. He's currently running Windows95 with SoundForge and a LynxONE sound card (doesn't have drivers for Linux).

This question was already asked about a half year ago in here

So does WinDVD...

How much does a T3 line cost anyway these days? I believe T1 is a couple of hundred bucks per month...
You can get a D-Link 100Mbps 8-port switch for $80.95 from buy.com...
Perhaps there's also a connection between the accuracy of DirectX/DirectSound and other non-DirectX sound engines that could affect sickness, which would partially explain James's observations.

Sounds like fun to mess around with your own genes...

That's just really lame but funny at the same time.
How good of an ISP was Earthlink/Mindspring anyway? I've never used them myself but I know a lot of people who do.
Really? You saw better things coming out of your butt? I betcha they weren't as good as this though. Haha that site always cracks me up.
I haven't seen the movie myself, but I've heard from many people it sucked. Did anyone actually like it?
Does anyone have recommendations for standalone (non-PS2) DVD Players that have good audio/video quality for a reasonable price?
Thanks!

Does anyone know how easy it is to port this to Windows?

They finally updated their web site 15 minutes ago.
Does anyone know how InterBase compares to other open-source/free databases like PostgreSQL, mySQL, etc.?
How well is the NVidia Riva TNT2 supported? Am I correct to say that accelerated 2D is supported but hardware 3D is not (yet) included?
