Many, many moons ago (i.e. sometime in the 80's) I recall watching on some Nature program in which they where gaging the depth of the ice in the Arctic regions by scanning the pollution in the water beneath it that came up from the East coast of America.
So maybe they're struggling with the ecological thermodynamics going on because it's no longer just salt water and ice they're talking about.
Maybe they can't pinpoint CO2 as the sole cause of global warming because it's not the we're doing to cause it.
The global ecosystem is an elaborate thing and we have much more to learn about it.
I was thinking along the lines of mortgage payments. Perhaps I have my numbers skewed, but I recall property tax being involved. Maybe someone who actually is making mortgage payments could elaborate/correct me?
What's probably going to happen is that your phone bill will stay the same (or maybe be a buck or two cheaper) and your long distance phone company will make more profit.
You see this all the time in Real Estate. When they cut a property tax, the houses for sale (as well as your rent) stays the same. "Inflation makes up the difference", they always seem to say, but the numbers don't quite add up...
Maybe all the scientist have gottn fed up with no one listening to their warnings about the environment, and have decided to leave. Score 1 for Darwin!
Read the questions aloud and imagine yourself being rapidly said to you over the phone (particularly the 3+ sentence questions).
Now imagine your a little nervous because you've been asked your official opinion on a heated topic when all you thought you had to deal with right now was dinner.
Some people could have easily misunderstood the questions, but answered anyway.
It is a shame that the political strata is always focusing on Internet related child abuse, while the programs programs in the physical world are in such poor condition.
As a friend of a social worker, I have heard that molestation happens a lot more often than is publicly shown and offenders are more often than not getting away out of sheer incompetence within the system, as the overworked child protection agencies focus mainly on covering their own asses than protecting children.
Please, correct me if I'm wrong, because I hope I am.
I thought they found bacteria there in the polar reigons. Yes? No? Just sci-fi gossip?
Yaaaaaaay! Down with The Man! Let all our bases belong back to us!

Thank you, Big Brother, for allowing me to track my children while you are! I'm glad I'm a Beta.
