Did the female voice in the cinematic teaser sound like Sylvanas (pre WOW/Undead) to anyone else? Soon enough they will be like Pixar - the fat/less intelligent character is always voiced by the same guy! (Which made for a great set of credits in Cars)
Quite interesting that they decided to post the images from a variety of Wisconsin cities. Having been there recently, I can attest to there being more custom plates in that state than any other I have visited. I guess cheese and sausage consumption breeds humor (-less?) license plates...
After reading the BBC article that postulated the same as you do above, a friend of mine got very fired up. He explained it in this way:
The year 1998 was a statistical anomaly based off the strong El Nino currents that year. When looking at the temperature trends surrounding 1998, there is a nice best fit line to go through them. 1998 is quite far above that best fit line for the rest of the years. Thus the statement 'temps haven't risen in the last 10 years' is numerically true (1998 was hotter than this year), it does not change the fact that there is an underlying trend of temperatures upwards over the last 20 years.
That being said - he strongly believes in GW/CC. I am unsure as to the cause of the data points, but think that we should examine them as an interesting trend in our environment.
Overall, it will be interesting to see how a democrat handles it versus how W did the economic slowdown when he entered office. The strategy of refunds/rebates for people doesn't seem like the best way to stimulate the economy. Hopefully something more inventive can be done this next time around.
Interesting thing about the tactile feed back - if you were using a wiimote as a pointer/shooter, it already has feedback with rumble and sound. If you moved over one of the targets it could rumble or make a beep.
Also, the lag didn't seem bad at all.
The firs thought that came to mind was the game which tracked your body/head and moved you on screen (I cannot remember the name now). It added an interesting element to the rail shooter. This could now be duplicated at home without any large amount of extra equipment.
Overall - Nintendo needs to release ANY rail shooters for the Wii, and then implement this functionality for future shooters.
For something similar, try the House on the Rock outside of Madison, WI. Very interesting and odd place all around. There are several music rooms with set-ups of chamber orchestras, quartets, and band ensembles all done with automated machines. From what I saw there, the machines are very hard to keep in tune, which gives something like the second video. However, there were a few rooms which sounded quite neat, especially given that it was all automated.
And maybe not even then, as your health records mean a lot to your children and what genetic concerns/diseases they may face in life. Don't think that all data relating to you stops being important when your heart stops and you're declared brain dead (enter questions of what dead is defined as).
As listed in another comment the X-Rays are not produced by the black hole itself. As the article listed, the black hole in question has a companion star which is feeding it with material. This material forms an accretion disk around the star which is falling into the black hole as it crosses the L2 point between them. As the material spins up around the star, it eventually moves fast enough and generates enough heat to produce X-Rays. This is what we see on Earth to view the black holes with, resulting in the types of images of black holes due to the resolution differences of X-Ray telescope vs Visual spectrum scopes.
In general, you cannot see a black hole alone, which makes sense and is what you were questioning above. A companion star is necessary to create the accretion disk so we can view them.
Interesting, anyone know if they are expanding the view of Stellarium beyond normal visible light? It would be quite neat to turn on an Infra-red view or UV. Quite a bit of the interesting things in Astronomy occur outside of visible light.
While the facts are true that most elected leaders have not received the majority of their constituent's votes, they are still the elected leader and thus have the right to speak for their country.
Those who do not use their voice in democracy can not complain when democracy does not speak their voice.
he's a man of near singular abilities. And if he were a man of singular abilities we could never know it, for he would be on the other side of the event horizon.
Well, if they handed you the exact ballot to vote, shouldn't the results come out the other side the same? If people voted exactly the same down the entire ballot their outside keys should match...doesn't matter how it is scrambled, unless they do some scrambling via your specific key.

which is why your university might sell you it for 5 bucks. Because they sell you parts, but after you leave the school you lose the license.
I don't know what university you are refering to, however the one I went to clearly stated that any software that you bought during school at the reduced price came with a liscense which transfered to you once you graduated. However, if you quit or got booted, they had the right to revoke your liscenses.

Actually, with WoW they added parental controls a while back. I believe you can limit the accounts play time to certain hours of the day and possibly to hours/day. You set up a seperate adult password so that you can change the settings, but they can still log on with their regular password.

Ah! I did. Sorry for the mistake.

Yes, and so are the Democrats...

Wait, this echos of 2006?

IAAA (or went to college as one).

:-( That is all I have to say about this news.

And people wonder why the Japanese have such low birth rates..... Each season the networks promote another wack-to-the-groin show...
And just how are you going to melt the key while they watch, if their cell has no windows?
