    It is the only way they can have the least bit of assurance that people will stay where they put them. I imagine if any of us were tasked to do the same thing, a similar result would have occured.

    Next time please take the time to read the whole article. They have made a "material" with a negative refractive index for portions of the microwave region and radio wave region. They are *working* on doing the same thing for the optical wavelengths of light.

    I guess the point i was trying to make is that I think it would be funny and *really* ironic if we ended up with interfaces similar to the one in hackers (or any other movie that trys to make 3d interfaces) that everyone complains about.

    Yeah, but what about all of the movies where it is protrayed in 3d? like Hackers, Jurasic Park, and many many more...

    Is it possible that eventually we end up with something out of a bad movie?

    For my colegiate research papers I was always tempted to put up a site with the perfects quotes/"evidence" for my topic... But i could never bring my self to do it.

    I just wonder how many people have, and if they have gotten away with it. I know none of my professors were too net savy...

    Novell may have lost the race, but it will take *years* before they are completely replaced. Corprations react so *slowly* that it could easily be 5-10 years or longer before most of corperate america moves from novell to something else.

    well, the problem with a wireless mouse is what happens when you misplace it? there is no cord to trace from the back of the computer to find it... you'd have to wander around your house trying to find your mouse everytime you wanted to play quake...

    But there is control, at least a little bit. it is kinda like when you are *really* trashed and trying to walk home (or drive home for that matter) from the bar. not every step goes in the right direction, but things even out and you pretty much still get where you are going.

    although i could be wrong.
