Sorry, I need sleep. I missed placing this comment in the right thread(tabs). I've been up all night and was getting tired of spreadfirefox types who used FF to push Firefox when their own community says to use Fx.
P.S. Firefox could disappear today and I would be happy.

It's not the same playing field now as back then.
It's Fx, check out the Firefox FAQ. Fire Fox = FF Firefox = Fx or FX.
QFT - that's the way it worked for me too. And very easy to add many more searchs. Some people here spew instead of speak.
Maybe some of you folks should enter "google acquires" in google search... and Fx was created from scratch?
When I upgraded from IE6 to IE7 Beta 2, Google became my default search engine. Even says "Search Google" in grey on white. What's the problem?
