Yeah, but so many tools that are used for network testing can also be very easily used for other things. ie: Ethereal, nmap, et al... A person who creates a tool shouldn't be nailed to the wall if others use it for ill gain.
Lover Spy happens to be a key logger. Great..you know how many big businesses do key logging of their employees? It's a valid tool. It just so happens that it invades peoples privacy as well.
Maybe users should figure out how not to get shit installed on their own systems, stop using MS as an OS and stop whining.
I still don't understand why Apple doesn't do this.
I think a lot of people are going to hear Apple is running 'Intel Inside' and compare that to a Dell running the same thing and see a vast price difference and buy the Dell. This is of course assuming that Apple doesn't lower its prices to compete.
My humble opinion is that Apple should create a HCL (Hardware Compatability List) like Sun does for Solaris and say if your box has X in it we support it. If it doesn't your SOL. There is WAAAAY to much shit hardware out there that they don't need to support.
With this market move Apple has to become a software / services company. They can no longer be a hardware company as their primary focus.
Wired had a much better article a few days back on China's nuclear strategy. Personally, it looks a whole lot better and WAAAAAAY safer then the American fuel rod based designs. Meltdowns are not a problem, no water contamination and it may even help generate hydrogen for fuel purposes.
I was at CompUSA awhile back and some guy was talking to the this sales dude. The guy said he a 256/128 DSL connection and needed a NIC card. The sales guy told him to get a Gig card...it would speed up his internet. I actually did a *cough*bullshit*cough* as I walked by. CompUSA sales people are the WORST.
So, the US shouldn't have them either? I agree. Personally, I see no difference between a WMD in Korea and a missile sitting in some silo in North Dakota. If they can't have them, niether should we. The US pushes a very hypocritical agenda.
Yes, the fact that so many people died sucks big time, but it doesn't change the fact that we have a moron for a president and big oil running this country. Take a look at this article over at the BBC.
I know people have stated it below, but I just have to put my.02c in here too.
I just want to state that speed doesn't kill, stupid, incapable and bad drivers do. By stupid and bad drivers that means those who:
A) Read books while on the freeway at 50mph(I have seen it)
B) Talk on their cellphones at 95mph in heavy traffic
C) Put their make up on while driving.
D) Man that was a killer party...but I can STILL drive mentality. I can barely walk, but I can still drive!
E) Grandma who can't see the stop light anymore. No offense to the older generation, but you scare me every time you get in your car. There should be mandatory driving tests for everyone over 65 every 2 years.
F) Many, many more...
I grew up in Germany where people drive fast (150mph), but the cars are engineered better, the drivers are used to it and the roads are built for it. In the US for the most part, the roads aren't built for it, the drivers don't know how to handle speed and don't know how to handle their cars at speed..it's just a "cool" thing to do. Yes, I speed all the time on the highway (never side roads..too many things to hit), but in 15 years of driving not one accident or ticket. Have I gotten close? Yes, but knowing my car and not freaking out saves your ass, not the speed you were going.
If conditions on the road warrent it, speed. If the biggest blizzard of the winter is coming through town..for christs sake yes you have a truck...but 60mph on the highway will get you or that other guy killed in a snowstorm! Know your car, know your limits and your fine!
Yeap, use FreeBSD. Problem solved, except of course you still have to figure out which desktop environ to run :)

NVidia's Windows closed source driver is fine to, until is doesn't fucking work. Then what?
Ever look on the 2nd (3rd??) CD? Plenty of tools on there, including a compiler.

I don't know. It's pretty easy to get rid of AIM. Just delete the .exe file and poof, all gone. :)
