I just found out Toshiba does this (in the EU), buy a new laptop today and there is no driver support for XP. I got it to work fine with XP but i had to track down the intel chipset drivers, LAN, Wifi, Bluetooth, Sound, Video from other sources, sigh...
It depends on which values you find most valuable
- Economic value ($)
- Intellectual value (C)
- Human value (:-)
How come both "invaluable" and "valueable" in common language mean something has a high value whereas "valueless" implies a very low value, as if something is wrong with our concept of "value", or are we just playing a word-game here ?
Nice analogies here;-)
In my case my company makes software, no need to show them the toilet before we release the Beta and most of the money has gone.
In the Civic "stick hybrid" i tried for a day, yes you need to clutch and when you do you engage/disengage both engines, the engine stops only when you put it in neutral.
If you release the gas pedal coming of a highway the car slows down much faster then a non-hybrid, charging the batteries, if you hit the clutch, you just freewheel like a regular car. So you would actually need to gear down coming of the freeway to put most of your energy back into the batteries and avoid an engine stall if you don't.
I think the original IMA design was a good idea because it is simple, sandwich a simple Dyno into the clutch, but it seemed to be on the wrong side of the clutch. Conceptually it's "attached" to the flywheel of the engine instead of the wheels of the car.
I haven't driven the more recent CVT geared civic yet, i hope it drives more like a Prius...
I just purchased a HP system (Athlon x64) from Ingram Micro today, here in the Netherlands low-budget systems still have OEM XP SP2 on them by default, no problem...
At home I have been using Vista for two weeks now, it's OK with me, but i don't need it...
That is just amazing, at the end of the video i see it was a 777, not a 737, wow.
I am a European but my favorite plane for long hauls, i would prefer a 777 over a 380 for sure.

I can commit to that, shame on me...
