I wonder why they do not insist on them taking down the cougar site? It seems inconsistent with the rest of their demands. Is there something special or different about the cougar site that I am not aware of? I have not made use of any of their sites nor used any dating site actually.
Hmm... Woman falls in between wolverine and wombat. No, I have no idea where I was going with that. Just an observation as you made me think about it with your sympathy remark.
As someone who has a very long history of cheating this is very true and why I do not commit to anyone any more. I simply do not behave myself in accordance with the rules implied and am too dishonest to (historically) tell mates the truth about my habits. I have cheated on my girlfriend while I was married so there was a third (and multiple thirds) in play. I feel bad so now I do not date anyone and just have a couple of lady friends who visit for a while and I am honest with them.
I suppose that, sort of technically, you do buy hardware to view YouTube be it a PC, phone, tablet, etc... However, that has nothing to do with your Sling device I would imagine. This seems like it may be bordering on illegal but I would check the terms of service carefully to see what they have to say. You may not have a leg to stand on in court but the content supplier's rights may be infringed. A bit of a conundrum really - do you want copyright to work in this case?
The Island of course. Pogey Bait goes to SD. I was dumb enough to do it twice - I left in the middle to attend college and then decided I wanted more of that GI Bill loving so I returned for another four years. The first stint was 0311 the majority of my time then an MOS change to do embassy duty. 3505 the second (motor pool) and then another MOS change as a security guard, I was a chaser, (forgot the number) at a detention facility. This was quite some time ago but they were good times.
As an aside, I had the opportunity to engage in combat and I can tell folks, with some certainty, that none of us cared about who slept with who, what the gender was, or who believed in what. We did not fire our weapons because of mothers and apple pie. We cared only about the person beside us and that was who we fought for. What mattered is we knew we could trust the person beside us because they had gone through the same training and were there fighting beside us. Combat is not anything like the movies. It is noisy, scary, smelly, and disturbing.
I have read them in the past but was too lazy to look - I figured you knew how to use Google though.;)
And yes, it is despicable. Unfortunately we can not do too many real-world studies on it here in this country any more. It is still outlawed, or it was when I was reading about this years ago. While the WHO has made it legit for use in malaria-filled areas it is still not lawful to use or create here as I recall. It would be nice to see some additional studies made simply so that science can restore its name in this area and to get the word out about the benefits of this one particular chemical and maybe save some more lives.
That puff of smoke that you see when you fry a power supply? That is the evil spirit escaping. Really, UEFI is just an extra layer of glyphs to try to prevent their escape. Beware, though, for they are crafty beings and have many means of trickery.
Every Marine is, first and foremost, a rifleman. This includes cooks, accountants, postal workers, clerks, officers, and women. All Marines are green and have been since just about the end of WWII as was handed down by the Commandant. Lady Marines are all riflemen as well as all male Marines. This is why the physical requirements must be met in the Marine Corps. The Marines are a tiny force and every last one of them is expected to defend themselves and the Marine beside them, to protect the regulations of an embassy, to guard Naval vessels, or to guard Naval (Marines are actually a Department of the Navy) detention centers. You can likely imagine how I know this.
I think it is safe to say that this article shows us that there are actually women involved in tech... They just happen to be witches. We can safely ignore the article and ensuing thread below this one. The diversity issue has been solved.
Holy crap! I had completely forgotten about them. There was also Copernica kicking around back then as well. I do miss Altavista and reminisce about them more than is probably healthy. I was a big fan of the boolean search engines and the ease of narrowing down the results with it as well as getting specific results. Those traits seem to be returning at some of the alternative search sites though - something I see as a positive.
I checked and the similarly named astalavista.box.sk is still available. FOSI is off-line and has been for a while. Those were my two favorite sites for pirating back in the day though FOSI was never search related but did have Copernica available for download.
It is strange how search has evolved over the years. I remember turning down a couple of employees that came with a request to purchase a Google Search appliance, an actual piece of hardware, as I could not justify the expense with the rewards - even though we had a lot of data. Instead we coded up a perl script of our own and set a CRON job to run it and made our own search engine. It turns out my decision was correct as there are many free things to do this now that all work reasonably well. The purchase would have been wasted and valueless in just a few years. I am not even sure if they still sell their appliance or not.
Now? Google does not even respect quotes around a term. I have found they do reasonably well if I let them have some private information and keep track - they do well at that but I can not keep that up for long without feeling icky. I would rather wade through a few more results, from time-to-time, than to have my habits tracked. I know, I am the product...
Thanks for reminding me about Northern Lights. It brought back a flood of memories.
I am too lazy to look it up but my understanding is that even the bird shell being thinner conclusion was actually based on fraudulent (not even erroneous) data - as in they made it up. I read a peer-reviewed study about it some years ago. It was paired with another study about the disaster that banning DDT caused and touched on the impact it also had on science as it was damned difficult finding other studies (they simply refused to publish them but the authors managed to find them anyhow but it took a lot of needless work) to cite and that other studies had been shut down due to lack of funding when the data was leading to new conclusions.
So, you get what we have here. Lots of people still think that DDT is horrific and you can not really even bring it up in conversation or debate. Folks will refuse to read the new studies, will call you a paid shill, and will claim the studies are funded by corporate chemical companies or Republicans that hate brown people. Malaria is one of the leading causes of death globally. DDT use is one of the potential tools to help lower that number and is quite successful at it when applied appropriately and in combination with other tools. Environmentalists knowingly faked data that directly resulted in the deaths of millions and is still killing people today. I *am* an environmentalist and I am ashamed of most of the people who also identify as environmentalists.
Current Egyptology is beginning to lean towards the pyramids having been created by what we know as Nubians. If they are correct then even the pharaohs were black. One of the more important pieces of evidence is that the facial structure of hieroglyphs, statues, and even the sphinx are likely ethnically black given the implied bone structures and other facial features. Those inventions have lasted longer than pretty much any other man-made thing on the planet. Additionally, we might also consider that all humans began life in Africa and were black so every single invention was made by black people although some of them have lost their melanin or developed other regional traits.
Someday, in the future, someone is going to use that quote to suggest that the GLBT community is advocating forced gender reassignment surgery. I only wish I were joking.
The statistic you cite covers only a limited geographical area. Do you have a more encompassing, and thus more accurate, statistic to back up your assertion? The two figures you cite have absolutely nothing to do with one another. What is the rate of minorities that live in that area, that go into an applicable field, and are then hired in that region? That is a meaningful statistic. Hand-waving with nonsense does not a good argument make and is not helpful to anyone. Dishonesty is not an acceptable platform to hold when attempting to claim an argument from a higher moral ground.
You are partially correct. We had a meeting two weeks ago and without you. We have moved SJW to Saturday in order to give more room to SystemD Friday. Sunday is what we have for penciling in a random political argument though it is also free for any anti-Dice articles as well. Copyright Tuesday is still a thing. Bob was supposed to send you a memo and the transcript.
It is possible to get muffins there or so it seems. I suspect you're more likely to get muffin tops though.

I like the idea but that leaves the rest of the weekend free...

Just make a video of it and then it is legal.
You could also try doing it in public and calling it art.
I do not suggest the latter but the former will certainly work.
Actually, given your username, are you maybe trying to bias the conversation because you are afraid of being exorcised?
And now we know who did not get hired for this task.
I use open source spirits myself. They are buggy as all hell but at least they are free.
I sold my soul to the devil. I got a coffee mug.
And yet you went and looked it up and are now raging about it. I think they win by default. Even if you are correct it is not possible to win.

I do not know... This nigger can spell 'less' and knows that it should not be 'less' but should be 'fewer.' So, there is that...

So you were building a straw man? How'd that work out for ya?
