Look at the mess they caused when MADTV cloned Arnold Schwartzenegger. We'd be doomed if human cloning continues!

  3. Notice the BBC world's video link? on BBC Interviews Linus Torvalds · · Score: 0

  4. VHS vs. Beta all over again. on Ogg beats MP3 & The Rest In Listening Test · · Score: 0

The simple way to look at this is that ogg vs. mp3 is like the difference between vhs and beta. As in the past, ogg (like beta) is better, but mp3 (like vhs) will be, and already is, an adopted standard. The majority of people are using mp3, and for a non-significant difference, will probably not adopt ogg in a wide-spread manner.

  8. People can change... on Voyager Eulogy · · Score: 1

"...having the characters do things counter to their established ethics and morals to bring the ship home and wrap up the series..."

Yeah...right. So, you're saying that the future Janeway wouldn't have gradually turned against her own beliefs in the Prime Directive after several years? People change, you know.

  9. Re:Digital Books... on Do Open-Source Books Work? · · Score: 1

"So I think the better question would be "What will these books evolve into?"

One step in the evolution is as an enhancement to paper textbooks...
