It has the same problem all console FPS have. Its too slow. I can beat HALO in my sleep. Thus making the first one lackluster. HALO 2 was online, whoopie actually a reason to stay awake. If it is more of the first what reason to I have to buy it, when trying to give myself a challenge (legendary mode) it has FPS sytle in that its an all out blitz of enemies on you, but you can barley keep up. As where in a typical FPS you can out run and gain advantge that way, but no matter what if you aint got the BFG your gonna need alot of ammo. And HALO, while a solid game, just might be out of ammo. As far as to compare to GTA, itis not fair. GTA adds tons of new features everytime so it feels new, but not foreign, and not just some fresh paint on an old fence.
The dude seems to be bent on old times that are now irrelevant. A Nintendo fanboy who hated SEGA as a competitor and yet loved the ally in them in the gaming world. Becuase lets face it, two are better than one. And choice is alwyas good. What drives it apart is the fact that after two consoles and almost a decade later he is finally embracing SONY and now that it has grown on him, he is bashing the competion as he once did SONY upon putting the DC (dreamcast) to an early grave. I cleary can see his disappointment in the DC. But I still own one and have a collection of games to enjoy. He needs to get over this and look to the future, becuase that is now. And now is about games. And games alone are will and for what I belive always have been, what sold the system.
PSP is already lacking what the DS offers. Innovation.And a affordable price. Functionality is alright, but should that not be standard? Should i have to pay an extra $50 for that UMD i might use twice? How many people ctully buy the UMDs? This is the case of SONY offer to much new tech before anyone really knows or is interested in it. I can get a DS Lite for $120. Fun. Cheap. And WiFi play. Im sold. PSP is overpriced and the games are mostly been ports latley. We all know how much ports suck ( i.e. Gamecube). EA even said Sony needs to step it up gamewise. A price cut would do it some good. If not they are SEGA Gamegear all over. Great system, but nothing new or inovative to keep it going.
This is very cool. That would be a schooll I consider going to.:)
But i do think either letting the students pick their flavor or standardizing two flavors would be nice.
